Gisele Bundchen is shifting her focus from booty to bunions. OK, that didn't come out sounding quite as literary as I was hoping it would. What I'm clumsily trying to express is that the Victoria's Secret angel is launching her Ipanema shoe collection for the Australian shoe company Novo Shoes. The line will feature a series of sandals and thongs, in keeping with the model's sun-kissed, beach-friendly persona. Here she is, kicking off her heels and showing off her sexy model feet in Melbourne the other night to an adoring crowd. In response to the cheers, she said:
"I feel like the president here."I love that because if you look at that first little thumbnail to the left here, you can see an exuberant Gisele raising up her shoes triumphantly while the citizens of her bizarre country walk around and appear to consist solely of women in gold lame bikinis and serious guys in business suits.

Did you know that only 5% of the proceeds from her sandals is going to the cause she's promoting? She makes it sound like "Mother Theresa" promoting "Green Earth, Water" but only 5% and pockets the rest? Don't be fooled into buying those sandals thinking it's for good cause.

Hellooooo.... Gisele is not australian born , but brazilian (Brazil/South American). So the guys in suites and girls in golden lame bikinis are australian ( Melbourne citizens most probably),as she was launching Ipanema's sandals in Melbourne/Australia /Oceania.
And in my opinion neither Brazil or Australia are "bizarre" countries, ok ? You should face "yours" in that mirror, instead.
P.S: I will continue reading your column, don't worry.

Senor Lima,
i think the bizarre country reference was to the imaginary 'bizarre country' that she is 'president' of; not a real country like brazil or australia. it's Ms. Timmon's way of providing a bit of humor to brighten your friday!
Gustavo Lima says:
Thank you , Peachpie... it is clear now. I also admire Lisa Timmons' humor, although sometimes she goes ( in my humble opinion) a little too far ....
And, just to clarify : in Brazil we speak portuguese (brazilian) not spanish. Instead of señor / senhor .
But you can call me Gus , instead. Cheers!
