Pamela Anderson 101107 04

I'm being a snarky bitch, but if Pamela Anderson is knocked up - isn't that kind of a no-no? Or are you allowed a glass of champs now and then when pregnant? Any of you Moms out there, fill me in. These pics were taken shortly before she married "Scum" (aka Rick Saloman) in Vegas. But you can't tell me this ho even considered if drinking while pregnant was a question or not. I'm shocked she doesn't have a doobie firmly in her lips, and maybe practicing kickboxing. If her baby's born with little to no attention span and bulging eyes, she can always heave it and buy another one.

Supposedly, SUPPOSEDLY, mothers can have a glass of wine every once in awhile during the earlier trimesters, but I still think that's crap. Sure, one or 2 glasses throughout 9 months might not hurt anyone, but why risk it?!

Any woman with HEPATITIS who decides to have a kid and drink on top of that should be flogged publicly and sterilized.

Yeah, you're allowed a glass everyonceinawhile, but I still wouldn't do it. Everything has an effect on the baby, no matter how small the amount

A responsible person shouldn't drink at all and certainly not during the first two trimesters when the most rapid development occurs.

are any of you parents? yes you are allowed a glass of wine once a week. doctors across the world have come to this consensus.

I am a mother and drinking early in pregnancy is a definite no no. Some people do have an occasional drink later on. But as Bird said, why risk it?

I am currently 25 weeks pregnant - so about 6 months. I haven't had a drink since I knew I was pregnant - why risk the chance? That's just stupid on her part.

You can have a glass of wine every day even, just not in your first trimester. I've had three kids, drank wine once a week, but never before the 15 week mark.
Just stupid of her.

I think this woman has mental issues .. not just the alcohol at this time during her "pregnancy." I am wondering if she is really pregnant this time. Also, have wondered if she really has hepatitis C -- maybe it was a ploy to garner attention. Remember, she told the world Marc Cherry wanted her for the part of "Susan" on Deperate Housewives, and he made a statement that this was not true.

DID ANYONE STOP TO THINK THAT MAYBE THE RUMOR THAT SHE IS PREGNANT IS JUST THAT, A RUMOR??? LOOK AT DEMI MOORE, IF ALL THE SO-CALLED NEWS REPORTS WERE TRUE SHE'S LIKE A YEAR AND HALF PREGNANT BY NOW. EVERYONE CALM DOWN.

Two words: Rick Saloman

She most definitely has mental problems.

What the hell should a baby matter? She drinks like a fish and has Hepatitis C. Go figure.

demi moore is old she could of just had miscarriages.

No teratogens are most susceptible in the first three months as previousl stated. Plus her used old body is dangerous enough. Regardless her body cant purify itself.

For god's sake, of course you can't drink wine.

I've heard Meth was ok though.

and padre harvey... being a snarky bitch is your JOB ~ now get to it!

Alcohol is a big no the first trimester during spinal cord development. After that, it's unknown what the effects of a small amount(like one glass)of alcohol are. Rule of thumb, according to my OB, is that any effect you feel is multiplied three times for the fetus.Having Hep C doesn't help, since her liver is already screaming for mercy. Judy is right--let's wait and see if this is for reals.

People really should stop believing tabloids!! Really.

Also, Pammie is still working in that Las Vegas magic show where she has to do a lot of difficult moving around, climbing and acrobatics and stuff. A 40 year old pregnant woman wouldn't do that in the early stages of pregnancy.

I think perhaps the gun has been jumped a bit by the tabs . . . again!!

Hopefully this slut isn't pregnant. She doesn't need another kid & especially with "Scum". They are both disgusting & belong together--but with NO kids.

I have three kids - all normal. I never would touch a drop of alcohol or even a Tylenol tablet in the first trimester. With my third I would have an occasional glass of wine (one) with dinner at the very end.

She is a dumb-ass, and I don't believe she is even pregnant.

Ugh, why would she even GET pregnant, having Hep C and all? That seems so selfish...can the baby be born with it? How does that work? Not that I even understand WHY anyone would WANT a kid...they ruin your life. I'm a woman, and I don't get any of it. Pregnancy is the GROSSEST THING EVER. And it cannot be good if you're old as Pam is...and as diseased! That kid is prolly gonna be a tard, mark my words. This constant, unchecked breeding must stop! Forced sterilization for everyone until they can PROVE they are fit to be parents. Pam is not. She should have been spayed.

I used to like her but now I think she is just disgusting. What the hell happened to her?

Not Supposedly: Expecting mothers are allowed a drink or two, a day even. The no drinking rule is usually reserved for those who get plastered when they drink... getting drunk is a nono.

Ummmm, maybe she isn't pregnant!

You are allowed to have a glass or two of wine during your pregnancy. I'm sure that getting married (no matter how long it will last) might be one of those occasions you might indulge.

October 11, 2007 5:17 PM

I didn't drink while I was trying to get pregnant or during the first trimester. After that, I would have a small (4oz) glass of wine with dinner once or twice a week.

Bingeing and perpetual drunkeness, obviously, are bad.

I ate sashimi and soft cheeses too (like pregnant Japanese and European women continue to do).

I'm fine, kiddo's fine.

Holy Moly!

I am not sure where you people are all getting your info from but if any of you talk to a doctor who specializes in fetal alcohol spectrum disorder they will tell you no amount of alcohol is safe during pregnancy. No time during your pregnancy is safe. Early in your pregnancy is the time that the baby's nervous system is being wired but even at the end of your pregnancy the baby is going through a time of rapid brain development. Is a drink of wine at dinner so important to you that you would be willing to risk your baby's brain development. FASD is permanent. Putting your kids before yourself is life long, might as well get used to during your pregnancy.

As for Pam, hoping its just a rumour.

I'm pregnant now and my doc says you can only have 4 ounces of wine every once in awhile, not even a full glass. Stupid white trash that she is, She probably just ignores everything a doc says and does it her own way.

Actually, it "unknown"--there have been studies in other countries. US researchers won't study it because they know what it will say and they would rather talk down to women then give them complete information.

Moderate alcohol consumptions is completely safe. A UK study, just for example, found ZERO incidence of FAS in moms who drank fewer than two glasses in one sitting no more than two times a week.

They also concluded that since women who drink heavily during pregnancy tend to also have other problems, it is hard to isolate what causes what.

A glass of wine on occasion isn't a risk, especially as the pregnancy goes into the second and third trimesters.

In fact, for moms with high blood pressure, it is sometimes "prescribed" quietly even in the US. If a glass relaxes you, that is better for your baby than most medications and than being stressed out.

Sure, you are probably even better off doing some pre-natal yoga...but the glass of wine won't hurt and it will probably help.

i'd drink too if i was married to that tool.

God you Americans are ignorant and judgemental. WHO (that stands for World Health Organisation for those too ignorant) has acknoledged that a small amount of alcohol is not harmful in pregnancy. I imagine you all lead blameless lives or are just too intellectually impaired to be cognitively flexibility.

I totally agree with all the other comments it is sooo very scary to drink during the first trimester of your pregnancy. Look at the recent cover of OK! (Oct. 15th) if that child doesn't have FAS then he definately has FAE (which is Fetal Alcohol Effects) some just have the facial features. Being a recovering alcoholic myself having 1 with FAS & 1 with FAE it scares me to death for these children.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is the number one cause of menatal retardation in our country. No, it is not okay for an expectant mother to drink alcohol whatsoever. The alcohol affects the developing fetus most during the development of the brain, which is in the first trimester.
