I know the Most Beautiful Woman In The World is trying here, but that gaily colored Talbot's top she's wearing isn't disguising the pallow of the tomb she's got going on lately. She's probably drained because she doesn't do anything for herself. It's all about dismantling land mines and having to pick up Maddox's lazy ass from school everyday with this one. Luckily, her and Brad do find time to purchase some kickass edgy art. Seriously, I love this Banksy guy. Check it.
The glamourous pair managed to shell out a whopping £1 million on works by British "guerilla artist" Banksy at a contemporary art sale in London last night."Brangelina" were not there in person but still managed to nab the Banksy piece, with its huge pricetag.
Banksy started out by tagging buildings in London in new and exciting ways. Check out some of his work here. I wish I was able to chisel out some wall in Camden or something before his ass got famous. See, Angie and Brad can be selfish and accquire things, too! They're not all about the world-saving. That's not gonna fit with their Waldorf Towers decor, though.

I also wonder if the kids take their big wheels with them on their wanderings or leave them by the curb for the trash man to take everytime they pull up stakes? How unsettling it must be for the kids to constantly move. I guess the concept of "home" is foreign to their parents so the kids are destined to never have one of their own.

Ahhh...Banksy has only sold his own art once. That was at the LA show and that's where Angie and Brad and other celebs bought pieces directly from him. Any other time Banksy's art has been placed up for sale it has been stolen from where it was tagged on the streets by Banksy and placed up for sale by London Art Dealers. Banksy is not making any money off these art auctions but the Art Dealers and Auction houses are. The Art Dealers claim they are holding Banksy's share of the sale in a special account if he comes forward and proves he's really Banksy but that would defeat he's purpose. He isn't doing this for money - see the Palestine Wall Murals where he risked his life to make something beautiful for the people of Palestine. It's all on his website maintained by his friends and cohorts.
And Banksy's art is amazing social commentary/satire/graffiti. The classical works he references are often too obscure for the average American who has no art history background. Someone who doesn't know Poussin from Pollack wouldn't appreciate Banksy.
