Britney Spears, dressed in an outfit that is uncharacteristically demure for her in a trench coat and black pants, did some shopping at Virgin Records to support the career of her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake. Hmm, think about the name of the store for a moment and come join me in wondering if her visit was at all Freudian.
Despite her low-key ensemble, paparazzi were hot on her trail and delivered us these fine pictures of the starlet in her favorite pair of giant black sunglasses as she then attempted to shop for some make-up at Rite Aid. Poor thing, I do feel for her after watching more and more video clips of what it looks like as she attempts to gently push her way through the throng of photographers any time she's out and about. Still, though, wearing super-dark sunglasses indoors, while holding her dog just makes her look like she's doing a piss-poor impersonation of a blind person.

Dressing down and supporting a friend's pursuits - -can't really say anything bad about that. But I have to say that I'm not that fond of celebs purchasing purebreds (probably from either puppy mills or other money-hungry, over-breeding breeders) to use as accessories.
