Ok, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss and Wanda Sykes don't act on Wisteria Lane, but these hot babes are standing up for the Writer's Guild of America's rights! Rights that mean I'm not gonna find out what Dana Delaney's goddamnn secret is! Thanks, Writer's Guild of America! Thanks for nothing! Wah, we need better dental cuz' my teeth are rotting and turning black. Whatever! Desperate Housewives' creator Marc Cherry says production has completely halted on the popular ABC dramedy. Yeah, I used "dramedy", whatever - it was handy.
Marc Cherry admits he and his writing team have honored their fellow Writers Guild of America members and come out on strike--and that could mean a very early end to the current season of the show.He says, "We've shut down and that's it--until it's all over."
Cherry admits the writing team has only completed work on nine episodes, and they'll run out in the next month.
Marc spoke from the picket line. Apparently, there's an upcoming episode where a tornado hits Wisteria Lane and some characters are going to eat it. And we're not going to find out who died exactly for awhile! Look, you don't need medical AND vision, writers! Just eat a lot of carrots and get back to work!

So, I really, really love Julia L.D., but, did you know she's a total billionairesse? Her daddy is super duper rich. So, what does she care about joining the picket line? She's not gonna go hungry any time soon.
Like I said, she's one of my favs, so i give her credit for caring about the, in her case, really little people who make the world go ticky tocky.
Zekers says:
She said in 'picket line' interview that she's doing it because the majority of the writers are "middle class" and they deserve their cut, indicating that they are being ripped off.
I didn't know that she came from a mega-rich family... Its cool that she has her priorities in order-sticking up for the underdog!
