Oh my poor Kiefer. It's not been a great couple of months for you. First, there was his DUI and now he's going to have to spend time behind bars and now, his hit show on Fox, "24," is being shelved this season as a direct result of the writers strike. January was when the show was scheduled to start airing its seventh season, however, Fox has announced that because only a fraction of the 24 episodes ordered have been completed. The recent wildfires had already set production behind and Fox's scheduling chief, Preston Beckman, said that delaying the announcement that the show would not air would possibly have cost the show "a lot of money." According to Beckman:
"It's not a decision we wanted to make, but it's one based on how we feel the viewers expect us to schedule the show."Also, we have pictures from the strike down below of Eva Longoria attempting to mix and mingle with the strikers. The "Desperate Housewives" star was getting dirty looks from strikers for going to work on her show, but attempted to make nice by bringing them all some pizza. Apparently, Eva was met with declarations of "No justice, no pizza!" and "This isn't the piece of pie we meant!" Hmm, you say those are writers striking? I'm guessing it wasn't the comedy writers she ran into...I'm hoping.

I don't feel sorry for Keifer; this wasn't his first DUI and lawd-knows, he can afford a driver/ride. Btw, he needs serious teeth-whitening. That mouth is icky.

This actually really depresses me. Sadly, I pretty much schedule my life around "24". I might actually have to *gasp* get a hobby. Pay these damn writers what they deserve and get back to work, people!
T-Bone says:
Kiefer and his 24 character are not one in the same.
GO WRITERS! Keep going until you get some respect and cash!

I agree T-Bone.
Many folks are going to be laid off and will have no pay check. Several of the stars with hearts are building a fund for those who will lose their homes, etc. The mega rich studio heads need to share the pie with the ones who are responsible for the very meat of the industry.
As for Kiefer, no sympathy here...
Lizzy says:
What's up with Eva's bottom teeth?
Xicana says:
This makes me so depressed. 24 got me through law school. I used to look forward to it all week. But, being a labor attorney and long time labor activist, I completely support the strike.
Btw, people wanting to support the writers should not download videos off the net. This is one of the things that are on the table.
