Michael Jackson Is Normal

Michael Jackson looks like every nightmare I ever had as a child. He's on the cover of "Ebony" to promote the 25th anniversay of "Thriller" (hot album) and the creative director of the "Ebony" photoshoot decided he was "normal". Look, I'm all about letting your freakflag fly. Live it up and freewheel. Just try to refrain from hosting sleepovers with young boys and feeding them wine in Diet Coke cans. And calling it Jesus Juice. Yikes. Don't bring Jesus into your little boy seduction scene! Gordon Jump on "Diff'rent Strokes" was less obvious when he had Arnold and Dudley bounce on the trampoline with no shirts on and had them watch dirty cartoons.

Harriette Cole, creative director of Ebony, spent a day and a half with Jackson during the photo shoot and interview and said "he came across really as kind of normal."

"He's 49. He's a grown-up. If you learn from your challenges, then you become stronger. He certainly seemed like that," Cole told NBC's Today program this week. "Honestly...he was normal."

Jackson, who has three children, told Ebony he was in the studio daily, but did not specify whether he was working on a new album.

Excerpts of the Ebony interview were released as reports emerged that Jackson could lose his famous "Neverland" ranch home in central California.

Yep. Neverland is in danger of foreclosure. I don't even want to imagine what went on there on the Island of Pantsless Kiddies. *shiver* He abandoned Neverland in 2005 to live in Ireland, Dubai, and now on the East Coast? Is he in my city? I'm immediately going to look for a pale terrifying specter leading around two children in veils on Newbury St.

Gordon Jump was Mr. Carlson on WKRP, Conrad Bain was on Diff'rent Strokes.

Oh yeah, he's "normal". I guess it's all the REST of us who are weird!

elliemae...

Conrad Bain played the dad, but Gordon Jump had a guest spot as a child molester.

Geez, now that I think about it, Diff'rent Strokes was pretty cutting edge for it's time!

Just a normal pervert. A regular Joe Soap.

He bought a castle on the East Coast of Ireland.
A friend on my mother's was on a flight between Paris and Dublin a year or so ago and MJ and the children and his entourage were on the same flight in first class. The kids had their heads and faces covered the whole time.
Incredibly normal really,

He lives somewhere near DC now (which is actually my city... AAHH!) I think I remember seeing something that he lives in the Maryland suburbs of DC.

he lives near DC now because he's a lobbyist for the Jesus Juice and Jungle Gyms Play Sets Hasbro has been trying to market to recently registered sex offenders.

Looks like it's paying off, he got to keep neverland.
