The People's Choice Awards Nominations were announced last night by Paula Abdul, Ryan Seacrest of "American Idol," Scott Foley ("The Unit") and A.J. Cook ("Criminal Minds") who revealed the nominees for each category. Ultimately, however, it is actually up to the people to vote for their favorites, or the electoral college decides...right? As you can see, even the concept of voting for celebrities baffles me, much less the President of the United States. It's going to be a sad November next year. However, you can get in on the action by casting your vote for your favorite smile here!
In any case, "The Bourne Ultimatum" racked up the most nominations and other multiple nominees were such films as "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" and "Transformers." In the reality show/competition category, "Dancing with the Stars," "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and "American Idol" are competing for the title. Justin Timberlake received nominations for favorite pop song, favorite male singer as well kudos for his participation on the song, "Give It to Me," which was nominated for favorite hip-hop song. Jessica Alba was nominated for both favorite female action star, as well as favorite leading lady. Again, I'm clearly not voting correctly, or that would never have happened.
After the nominations were announced, Crest and Scope hosted a party for the announcers and various other celebs who showed up to the event. Because of the two sponsors of the event, it was a bright green carpet in lieu of red, at the Area nightclub in L.A. All of the announcers walked the carpet, and were also joined by the Kardashians as well as a few others.
