Britney Spears, in conjunction with photo agency X-17, has put an autographed cd of her new album "Blackout" up for auction on EBay. All proceeds are going to UNICEF. She should probably keep that for legal fees. Chris Crocker is scrambling to turn enough tricks with guys into trannies right now to afford that.

"I think it's important to give back and with the release of Blackout, this seemed like the perfect
opportunity to give the fans a chance to bid on something to help children everywhere," Spears told X17.

Bidding is currently up to $7,200 and the auction ends on November 19. This is kind of a transparent PR move to demonstate she's not just a redneck, but hey - it goes to a good cause. And it's not like she can do Locks for Love. No one wants that fake yak hair she's got swinging. In other news, K-Fed's lawyer might try to subpoena that footage of Brit running the red light with the little ones in the ride as ammo in his custody battle. Keep reading.

Attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan says he's weighing whether to seek a subpoena from the court Wednesday for the footage, which was posted on the celebrity news Web site TMZ.com. Separately, TMZ reported that it was contacted by Kaplan. Kaplan declined further comment, but the footage could support his request to a Superior Court commissioner to stop Spears from driving when her sons are in her car.
I've seen that footage and man she's dumb. And it's not like it was a Princess Di/Paris tunnel/high speed moment. She just kinda took off and to hell with you guys. Why didn't she just roll the kids in the middle of the street as a diversion so she could jump the light?

"I think it's important to give back...'

This seems to be a favourite phrase of young Hollywood these days. Vague and self righteous and usually uttered by those who've taken their fair share, thanks.

UNICEF is a good cause and it's good they'll get the dough, but BRITNEY of all people talking about helping children everywhere ? Please. Spare Us. Her own son's teeth are brown and rotting.

"Give back"????
What the FUCK did you "give" you vile cunt?
You took three seconds out of your precious Rodeo Drive-shopping, Mercedes-buying, coke-snorting time to write your corny name on a fucking CD. With all your fucking millions of undeserved dollars and all your free time this is your idea of "giving back".
God what an egocentric whore!

I think all you loosers need to back off of her. The poor girl is trying to live her life and be a mom, with EVERYONE watching her. Nobody knows what it is like having a microscope to your every move, I can't even imagine having constant flash bulbs in your face and people chasing you on the roads, constantly looking and harassing. And BTW you people act like your saints, when I am sure almost all of you have ran a red light or two, nothing but hypocrites....

She neglects her own kids, so now it's "Ah love boo-boos, y'all! Ahm gonna help that there Loony-CEF charity!"

So basically, she makes $700,000 a month (give or take), donates only $500 to her OWN charity, but wants one "lucky" fan to donate thousands of dollars that will most likely wind up being most (if not all) of their life savings, pushing them into debt. And all this "lucky" fan will get is an autographed CD (to go with the 5+ copies they already own) and the knowledge that THEY helped a worthy cause, not Britney or X17.

Here's a thought Brit, to make this seem like a more "noble" PR stunt, why don't you donate a few thousand dollars of your OWN money to charity or at the very least match (or double) the final price of the bid. You know, lay off the frapps and finally end your tour of Los Angeles County's most posh hotels (when you already own 2+ mansions in the county to begin with). I'm sure that the money saved from giving up these two things alone will save more than enough to give to the charity of your choosing. Baby steps, baby steps...

Britney gave away $590,000 in 2005, including $350,000 to relief programs related to Hurricane Katrina. Spears donated $175,000 alone to Habitat for Humanity. Her foundation also donated $25,000 to Spears' summer camp; $50,000 each to Gilda's Club and City of Hope; and $6,000 to the American Cancer Society. This all reported in a Fox News article comparing celebrities charitible contributions.

But by all means let's ridicule her for doing a little charity work like autographing a CD. The hating is getting out of control.

"Danielle said:
I think all you loosers need to back off of her."

I MIGHT be looser than you, but I kind of doubt it.
Geez, that misspelling (looser/loser) is right up there with noocyooler, for pissing me off. It's probably Dubya's fault also.

And also, one measley cd??? Could she not autograph a large pile of them and auction them off? Ooh careful, don't exhaust yourself, you lazy sack of crap.

I dont understand why they need to subpoena the footage... do they not have internet at the courthouse?? Doesnt the judge have someone get on TMZ everyday??
