Here's pics of Keri Russell and her "August Rush" co-star Jonathan Rhys-Meyers on TRL, schlepping their movie around. It's about a musical family or some mess. Keri's favorite director to work with is J.J. Abrams. He was the creator of "Felicity" and also directed her in "Mission Impossible 3". The word on the nerd circuit was that Keri was going to make an appearance in his new "Star Trek" flick but she's decided against wearing pointy ears and a unitard or whatever they had planned for her.
"Oh, J.J. Abrams is doing 'Star Trek!' There was maybe a thing, but it turns out that I have played it in so many other parts that we just decided to not do it," Russell told reporters in New York, while promoting her new film "August Rush.""But I was just with J.J. last week and I don't know, if he could find something else, we would (work together again.) I want to be in everything he does. ... But I don't think the thing that we had talked about is going to work out."
So it sounds like they wanted her to play a navel-gazing college student, but in space?
Captain Kirk: "Ensign Felicity, activate warp drive!"
Felicity: "Uh yeah, ok, it's just that I don't know I feel about that. Noel looks at me, and it's like I'm really far away from everything but frozen at the same time. Do I take that leap? What about Ben? He touched me in a way, well let me just show you the journal entry I wrote.."
Captain Kirk: "What?"
