Well, that's a glamorous picture if ever I did see one. It seems that as Britney's self-respect has slowly, but surely been slipping through her fingers, her bank account might not be far behind. Court documents have revealed that the pop star isn't doing much to secure her financial future. Of the approximately $737,000 she brings in a month, Britney doesn't appear to be investing or saving much of it--at least most likely not enough to keep her afloat, once the money stops coming in. From FOX News:
"Most high earners, like celebrities, should view themselves like ballplayers do," said Everett Weinberger, a financial adviser at Merrill Lynch. "You need to put away money right at the beginning, assuming that it may end. ... Young people can be very shortsighted, forgetting that they're not going to be famous forever."You just know there's a closet somewhere in Britney's house, full of unopened Barbie boxes and bags of weed with a a piece of masking tape across the front of the door that reads, "Retirement Fund."
