Yesterday, Lindsay Lohan turned herself in--not for the mystic tan crimes she's been inflicting upon herself, but for charges related to her drunk driving offense. The orange starlet with the extra-pursed lips spend about an hour and a half in jail at the L.A. County women's detention center in Lynwood (sound familiar?) turning herself in at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Lindsay was described by sheriff's department rep, Steve Whitmore, as "cooperative" and denied any suggestions of special treatment in reference to her early release.
"Absolutely not. This is what we do for most everybody in this position."Lindsay was originally sentenced to serve a day in jail, but the nonviolent nature of her crime and overcrowding were cited as reasons for her shortened stay. I have to say that I like the whole silver and aviator glasses look on her, but that mug shot is terrifying. For a second, I thought it was Brett Michaels.

this is such bullshit. i have gotten a dui and those of us *normal* folk do not get in and out in 45 minutes. it is a mandatory overnight stay and you get released in the morning with everyone else. you also have to stay in the drunk tank, then the release tank. you don't get to sit in a lovely cell by yourself.

It looks like Lindsay has put on a peach facial masque and then left home while it was hardening. Good move really, if it stops her talking or doing anything else with her mouth.

Hey SNL!!! Do a sketch on these Hollywood "actresses" (snicker) and their brief "incarcerations". Instead of jail, they would go to an upscale spa/restaurant and do their "time" there. The staff would be dressed in chic law enforcement attire and the "punishments" would be to eat and have spa treatments with D-list Lifetime Channel actors!
The time it takes for these celebs to get their hair and nails done would equal the "hard time" they were supposed to do in jail.
