I really hope some lemon juice ran down into his eye whilst he was bleaching his hair, cause I never need to think that Joe Simpson is winking at me for any reason whatsoever. OK! Magazine is claiming that Jessica Simpson has about had it with her father acting as manager of both her career and her life. Plagued with a stalled music career and a lukewarm foray into acting on the big screen, Jess is reportedly looking to switch management. According to the magazine's unnamed source:
"She wanted to be a movie star and her father wanted her to earn the salary of a movie star.""After The Dukes of Hazzard movie, Joe was telling everyone that Jess was the next Julia Roberts, and while the public bought it for a while, the studios never believed it."
The next Julia Roberts? Sorry Joe, but a mouthful of big teeth does not a Julia Roberts make. Jessica's people, for their part, are of course denying that any such rift between father and daughter has developed. Hmm, I don't know...I want to disbelieve this rumor, but then again, this information is coming from a magazine with an exclamation point in its title, and I don't know about you, but that's some pretty compelling punctuation.

Um I don't think that "the public" was EVER buying the idea as Jessica of a big movie star. Or as anything more than a reality show moron. As a member of the public I am deeply offended that OK! magazine considers me (and my ilk) stupid enough to ever have thought that Jessica Simpson would be a movie star.
And yeah Julia's a shitty actress too. All she does is that huge laugh with her mouth open a foot and a half wide. Well she and Jessica do have that in common...cavernous mouths.
