Madonna's A Damn Scrooge

This breaks my heart. I know they're the children of one of the richest women in the world and don't want for anything...but shouldn't every kid get at least one present on Christmas? I know they live a parallel rich person universe existence that we can only dream about - but still, get em' some stickers or a pony or something. Damn, Madonna, why you gotta be like that? Guy Ritchie brought Lourdes and Rocco to the London premiere of "Fred Claus" the other night and revealed that the Madonna clan doesn't celebrate Christmas, really.

"We canceled Christmas a few years ago," Ritchie, the 39-year-old director of Snatch, told PEOPLE. "Stopped all the presents. And ever since [we] stopped the presents, we're are actually enjoying it."

So this year's celebration will be a quiet affair. "We are not sure what we are doing," he added. "Probably staying in London."

Your kids are going to be running down to the poor people's houses, fogging up the windows with their jealous breath and wishing they had something to unwrap. Hell, get em' a Slinky or a Lite Brite! And concerning another matter - ok, I know she's very young and this stuff shouldn't matter yet but please bleach Lourdes. It's ok for her to remain a kid, but even private school Lycee Francais girls can be bitches from hell and she's not going to find any mercy when she rolls up with the moustache and the unibrow. I'm just sayin'. I'm not making fun of her, I'm actually concerned for her psychic well-being. Ask J. Harvey about the time he wore the Don Johnson jacket to sixth grade, and how he's still having nightmares about the sixth months of unrelenting bullying that followed. Parents, help your kids out, ok? Give em' every advantage you can. Then again, Lourdes could probably go home crying and Madonna would pause from whatever underground artist's work she's ripping off that week and make a short phone call to have a bully's parents taken care of. You know she has the reach.

...and on that note...why are Rocco's teeth so brown? he is absolutely precious though, and a handful. i feel as if Guy is joking- "we cancelled Christmas" sounds just mean.

Ok, call me vain, call me horrible, whatever you'd like, but Lourdes could use some help with the facial hair! Seriously, no young, teenage girl is comfortable with all of that hair. All she needs is a quick laser to the brow area (a few times) and one above the lip (a few times) and she's done for life! Help her out Madge!

i honestly think her facial hair should be left alone.. let her be a child she is only 11 not an adult not a teenager a child..

I'm ambivalent about her brows, on the one hand, the dilligent waxer, plucker, nair chick is afraid of those brows. But, remembering being 11 and not caring about things like hair removal was a much better time.

Madonna and Guy try to hard to impress. The no Christmas thing is a part of Madonna's reinventing of herself as a humanitarian who is beyond all the materialistic crap. She needs a beat down. The facial hair is really distrubing. Just call me shallow.

well, gee, i don't know, but it could be that there's no christmas because the family is jewish.

How can the Gays let this happen to little Lola? How come not one of them has taken her for a "Spa Day"?

See, this is even further proof that that senile piece of shit hag Rupert Everett should lose his Gay card. Not only does he prattle on about how being outed ruined his career, he's also a poor excuse for a Gay Uncle.

Tht poor girl, her eyebrows look awful, I have never seen a young girl with eyebrows like that before. She is 11 and is old enough now to have her eyebrows done, and she has hair on her upper lip too.
No sweets/no TV/no Christmas/no Santa for her kids and she lets her daughter go out like that??
These celebs get so rich and powerful they make up their own rules as they go along, their kids lives are not normal, they have all that money but all those dumb strict rules, this from a woman who showed her cooch to the world a million times, and shagged half of America. She grew up with a strict Father and now she is doing the same to her kids, they will rebel against her eventually.

I think Lourdes is a beautiful girl, but I do agree that Madonna should cut her some slack and take her to get waxed. The poor thing! Trust me, kids WILL give Lourdes a hard time about the excess facial hair---I remember this girl in sixth grade who was teased relentlessly because of excess facial hair. She was called "She-Wolf".

Judaism has no room for Christmas, Jews don't believe in Jesus, Hanukkah lasts 8 days though which is much more fun!

November 20, 2007 9:30 PM

I had a unibrow as a kid, well I still do but it's plucked, and let me tell you I HATED it even at 11. If fact I think I was 11 when I started plucking. And it was no where near as bad as hers. And then you add the mustache...she is so cute but dude groom your child!!!!!!!!!!1

J. I love your posts, but bleach is not gonna solve this problem--only intense, repeated pulses of light in a dermatologist's office will. As far as letting Lourdes be a kid... How much fun is she having being a kid with a mustache and a bushy forehead?? Further, today's eleven is yesterday's 14--hell yeah, that hairy face matters. HELP HER, MADONNA.

Kids can be so cruel as we all know, and I really feel sorry for Lourdes and think Madonna should do WHATEVER NECESSARY to keep those brows under control.
My 13 year old niece had really hairy arms when she was 11 or 12. (bad enough that she hated school and only wore long sleeves :-( My sister took her someplace and had the hair bleached. My niece is so much happier now!

Man..... She IS just a kid, but it looks like she's got a furry little catterpiller party on her face. When it gets to the point that it bothers LOURDES, is when Madonna should help her out. Just pluck between the brows a bit and laser the upper lip. It's not that bad and Madonna can certainly afford it. She's a beautiful little girl. But, as someone else said, 11 isn't the same now as it was a few years ago. Kids can be SO cruel.

She really needs to get trimmed. I don't care that she is only 11...kids are vicious these days and will rip her to shreds. Maakes it look like Madonna banged sasquatch....for Christsake...help the child!

I'm with T-Bone on this. LASER TREATMENT.Madge has the $$$$. Help the poor kid out.

Sorry, I don't think they're cute and their teeth look horrific. The unibrow needs to go and take the lip hair with it No girl should have to look like that. Madonna is a freak and it seems to me this is her way of controlling everything.

Jesus, she's an 11 year old girl! All that hair will fall out after a serious face fucking!
Is it true she uses Frankie Muniz's asshole toothbrush for mascara?

Yes, Lourdes needs a facial-hair removal treatment. She's old enough to be tortured at school for looking that way. And she's a famous kid - which raises the bar for grooming standards.

So, Madonna has decided that Christmas is NOT all about the gifts? Good for her! The gift-grabbiness of Christmas is what kills any pleasure from that holiday.

She is just a little girl. Why pressurise her or Madonna to think of all those "surgeries" and all that.

As if Madonna herself do not know the side effect and pressures that "plastic or cosmetic surgeries" bear on people.

Let the child alone. When she is grown up she will decide for herself what she wants to do with her hair. Anyway, I like her face like that, it's kind of ruggard and beautiful.

Would you help your child if they had major acne on their face at 11 years old? Yeah, probably... And chances are good you'd do it because you wouldn't want your child to be bullied or mistreated, and end up with damaged self esteem. This is the same thing. The teen years are coming, and life will be tough enough. Laser is quick and permanent. Madonna has the cash. I say get on it.

If Madonna oblige her child "Laser Treatment" as you suggested, don't you think the child will start asking for "Teeth treatment" since you also condemn her teeth. And thereafter another "Treatment" and "Another Treatment" until she turns out to become the "CAT WOMAN". Leave the child alone.

What "surgery" are you speaking of, eseu? Do you know what laser is? Laser isn't even close to surgery. It's like a light going over your face and it takes one second. Basically painless, unless you get an extremely sensitive area done. And it takes like 5 times in your life and it's gone forever. I'm Italian. I know.

T-Bone, I'm with you. It IS less about vanity and more about preserving her self-esteem. Kids are mean at every age; I'm sure there are already "Hairy Canary" nicknames behind Lourdes' back.

P.S. I secretly suspect Eseu is the mustache-lady working the door at my Costco, nervously grooming the edges of her 'stache with her tongue, completely stymied by the idea of hair removal, and marveling over the concept of deodorant.

Seriously laughing out loud, circuslion.

I'm sure if the excess facial hair was bothering Lourdes Madge would take care of it. That's nice that they don't celebrate Christmas with presents. That's not what Christmas is really about anyone. My family doesn't exchange gifts except for the kids and it's a lot more enjoyable. I'm sure every day is Christmas when you are that rich.

It's a European thing...Lourdes may be able to get away with a 'natural face' a little longer than in the US. I commend Madonna for raising her kids as 'normal' as possible. Notice that little Rocco has a food stain on his shirt. Very cute. She'll be turning 12 soon and I have a feeling she'll become very well aquainted w/ tweezers. She has her mother's facial hair...check out Madonna's early videos (very 80s)...!

Leave it to the white Americans to talk about sending a little girl to get her facial hair waxed. Just because that is what you would do doesnt make it right. She is 11. I am sure you all probably have 13 year olds with belly rings. She is not in the catagory of Lindsey Lohan, that is something her stupid mother would do, and probably is Ali Lohan is already looking like she is 21. Disgusting.

Is that a female sasquatch?

Much of Madonna's career has seen rebellion against the Roman Catholic Church, which has generated criticism in the past. In 1990, when Madonna toured Italy with the Blond Ambition Tour, the Pope encouraged citizens not to attend the concert.

Lourdes is turning 12 in October. She doesn't need surgery. She needs electrolysis and "mustache bleach". I just hope Madonna can remind herself she was once a pre-teen!

As for Rocco, I hope he gets regular dental check-ups!

I used to have the same problem as Lourdes when I was younger, in fact i'm only 14 now and I still have it.

Kids are vicious, they tear you apart from the inside out. Truthfully I began getting teased around age 8! It didn't bother me at first but after so long things begin to get to you. If she doesn't mention anything to anybody it still doesn't mean it isn't hurting her, I've kept my secret about the bullying to this day. It sounds stupid, but once you look in the mirror and start believing it yourself you just give in.

It might not effect her, considering she's in the spotlight all the time and seems to enjoy it, but I know it effected me. I was never an extrovert but throughout the 4 years I was bullied I became so shy I wouldn't talk to hardly anybody. And it effects me now, even though i have a big thick fringe to cover the unibrow problem - which is almost gone anyway - I'm so self conscious. I wish my mother had done something, instead of telling me I was beautiful. Because I didn't believe a word. I'll end my essay now lol! ^^
