Cedars-Sinai Chief Medical Officer Michael L. Langberg, MD, has released a statement, claiming that the accidental overdosing of Dennis Quaid's twin newborns was "preventable," and that "there is no excuse for that to occur at Cedars-Sinai." Dennis and his wife, for their part, have also released a statement concerning the state of their twin babies' health:

That is so tragic. Hopefully the babies can pull through & not have any side effects. Thoughts & prayers go out to Dennis & Kimberly. I cannot imagine what they are going through. The worst part is that it was preventable. I read the same thing happened to 13 other patients that day.

Not to be insensitive, but this woman looks young and healthy. Why use a surrogate? Also, Dennis is hot, but he's too old to startfathering babies again.

I like Dennis Quaid, always have, one of the most underrated actors. It saddens me this has happened. Surrogate babies? Was the wife afraid she may have to eat and give up anorexia or was it a health issue? Oh, wait, anorexia can inhibit fertility.
