Services for Kanye West's mother Donda West were held in Oklahoma City yesterday. Mourners included Beyonce and Jay-Z, and Anita Baker and John Legend performed. Kanye was said to have broken down while speaking about his mother, and said that he wanted her to rest "not in peace, but in paradise." Horse-drawn carriages carried his mother to the cemetery. Donda West died suddenly on November 10 due to complicatons from multiple plastic surgery procedures. It is not known at this time whether anyone from her family will be taking legal action against her surgeon, Dr. Jan Adams. That's all we got. Sad all around.

I hope Kanye gets comfort from knowing his mother was a teacher, and by that I don't mean just an English teacher to a handful of pupils. She is a Master Teacher, able to educate the nation about the dangers of plastic surgery. It's a tragedy what happened, but let's not lose the lesson.
