Here are pics from Penelope Cruz's "Vogue" shoot. As you can see, it has a Spanish flavor to it, and features her sister Monica along with her longtime collaborator - gonzo Spanish director Pedro Almodovar. Penelope has been recently linked with Javier Bardem, because Salma Hayek's been very busy with her new baby. What? Yeah, it's like that with those two. And let me take the opportunity to urge everyone to check out Javier in "No Country For Old Men". It's a hot flick, and Javier runs around with slaughterhouse equipment, killing people. Ok, that might not be a selling point for some of you, but trust me - it's a Western set in the 80s and it's by the Cohen brothers and it's worth the ten bucks. Back to Penelope. She doesn't mention Javier at all in the article accompanying the photos. But she does talk about when she first got a call to work with Almodovar. She was evidently drying her hair and had dreamed of that moment all of her life. She needs to dream about grasping English better! Hey, I'm terrible at other languages too, but I'm not up on the silver screen in Spain trying to get a story across and causing people to turn to their companion and ask what the hell is he saying? Except picture that in Spanish.
