No, Tom Cruise isn't being rewarded by Germany for being particularly doe-eyed and lovable, as you might surmise by the fact that he received a Bambi award. Basically, it's a prestigious media award that is 59 years in the making and the daughter of one of the winners once noticed that the tiny golden statuette resembled a deer, hence the name Bambi. With that kind of logic, it's a good thing I wasn't the daughter of some Oscar winner years and years ago, otherwise, I'm sure we'd be calling it something way more phallic these days. Anywho, Tom's work on the film, "Valkyrie," about a botched plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler, has earned him kudos with German film critics and here are pictures of the diminutive actor on the red carpet with wife, Katie, who is debuting a new haircut that although I think is cute, might be a smidge too Ramona Quimby for my taste, but here's to taking risks. These pictures are awesome after the jump, with Rihanna sporting a clingy leopard-print gown, a still fantastic-looking Sophia Loren and an enthusiastic Eva Longoria for your viewing pleasure.

I thought she was the wife of mayor Quimby from the Simpsons and that socialite got Quimby confused with policy chief Wiggum. Search "Sarah Wiggum" the police chief's wife, and you'll see she sports a haircut pretty close to Mrs. Cruise's new do.

I am loving her haircut! It's very chic. I think that Katie does want to escape, but she's doing it on her terms. She is trying to look too "out of his league" for even Tom to understand.
