Nicole Richie and baby-daddy/terrible band Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden kicked off their new charity, the Richie Madden Children's Foundation, at a surprise baby shower at the Los Angeles Free Clinic yesterday. You know she was like MY NAME FIRST, JOEL! Evil Nicole and hapless Joel gave away over $200,000 in baby gifts to knocked up ladies in need. Their own baby, a boy, is due in January. Nicole told reporters that the expectant moms thought they were joking when they first started passing out gifts. Well yeah, we can totally picture you pretending to pass out a lavish baby item to an outstretched pair of hands and then yanking it back and screaming "psych! loser!" and cackling and stroking the gift and ordering security to beat the woman. It's just in your nature!
Pregnant ladies received Baby Bjorn products, cribs, mattresses, Fisher Price toys, and gift bags of weed and vicodin. Stank aside, it's nice to see generosity on the part of rich people who don't have to care about anything other than whether Louisa cleaned the tiles right and what time their weed dealer can hook it up. Joel describes he and Nicole as "just a young couple having a baby and we're really excited." Until the baby comes, and you're suddenly on a year long tour with several nubile "assistants" and the kid's calling Louisa "Momma" because Richie's out at Fred Segal for the fifth time that day.

I'm really impressed by Nicole. She's changed her life so dramatically. I see photos of her face now and think, "Damn!". Pregnancy is becoming of her. I hope she keeps a little weight that she's gained in this time to keep looking this healthy and gorgeous. I actually think her and Joel will be pretty decent parents. Good for her and good for them.

Okay guys for the ones who are not sure, nicole was adopted by Lionel Richie you remember who he is. He
was a major singing star in the 80's. She is not black she is caucausan and puerto rican and apparently I cannot spell either LOL. Anyway I believe I'm correct on the mix of race. None the less I have always liked Nicole she is herself, she is someone who voices her thoughts and there is nothing wrong with that. I think Nicole and Joel will make great parents, come on now give them a chance there brand new parents they have to learn like everyone else and I'm sure they will have lots of help along the way but still baby harlow will still know mom and dad. So good luck Nicole and Joel and take care of that precious baby and remember to spoil him thats part of your job as a parent LOL I know some people will not agree with me on the spoiling but its okay to spoil a little bit.
