Yikes. Now, I LOVE me some Dolly Parton and can't believe the woman's warbling voice still sounds the same after all these years, but her plastic surgery is like whoah. But, God love her, she's got no problem admitting it, and even jokes about the work she's had done, referring to her massive ta-ta's as "my show dogs." At a recent special performance to the small steel town of Rotherham in the U.K., Dolly entertained the crowd with her signature songs and on-stage banter, and revealed some insight into her forty-one-year-long marriage to her husband. When asked if the two enjoyed an open relationship, Dolly said, "I don't want to know it, if he's cheating on me. If I'm cheating on him, he wouldn't want to know it. And if we do, if that's what's making it work, then that's fine too." Dolly, you little key-party-loving minx, you.

Call me Cruise but I agree with her philosophy (regarding her 41 year old marriage...not the crazy plastic surgery). I'm not married nor anywhere close to a committed relationship right now but as I watch more of my friends get hitched, divorce, cheat on their spouses, it sort of clouds the whole "one person for life" notion.
I've always maintained that if my husband cheats (due to weakness, curiousity, pissed at me for whatever reason), I do not want to know about it. If he chooses to stay in the marriage, great...just keep it clean, disease-free and discreet. But once he gets stupid and careless, I'll have no problem ending it.
However, the man I'm with should understand that what's good for the goose is good for the gander (my expressions are old school...sorry!). If I decide to cheat, he won't know about it either unless I tell him and plan to end the marriage myself.
I just realized that it is completely unrealistic to expect another human being to not stray during such a long marriage. I know this opinion is not shared my most but in this day and age, I don't know if most people can guarantee fidelity to their partners.

but I agree, what Dolly is doing (IF she's doing it...) is certainly not swinging. it's an open marriage with discretion.

I, too, agree with her views on marriage. I think over the course of 41 years its pretty unrealistic to expect that no one would stray even a little bit. Of course the goal should be to not have anything on the side, but no one's perfect, so I think it's best to keep it descrete so that the partner can save face and not have to deal with it.

Amazing songwriter and singer, gotta love Dolly! As for marriage, it is a joke now and I'm glad I'm not partaking in it. True love is dead. I don't know anyone who doesn't think the grass in greener on the other side, which it never is. The kids are the ones suffering.

Dolly Is NOT a Swinger she is a singer but if anyone says anything bad about her I look it up ask my parents do anything I can to see if it's true and her being a swinger is not!!!!!!!!!!
