Mourning the recent loss of his mother, it's probably little consolation for rapper, Kanye West, that he was just nominated for eight Grammy Awards this year. For the 50th year in a row, nominations for the musical honors were made, with Amy Winehouse receiving six nods for her hit album, "Back to Black." She's another one with other things on her mind, having had just recently made an emotional visit with her husband who is currently serving time in jail for charges related to fixing a trial. Both artists will face each other for album of the year, along with the Foo Fighters, Vince Gill and jazz pianist Herbie Hancock. Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, T-Pain and the Foo Fighters each received a total of five nominations for the awards, which are set to be announced in Los Angeles on February 10th. Best new artist will see competition between Amy Winehouse, Taylor Swift, Feist, Ledisi and the band, Paramore.
