Sometimes, with Nicole Kidman consistently looking polished and perfect on the red carpet, every hair in place, make-up perfectly applied in one appropriate, tailored outfit after another, it's easy to think that she is and will always be immune to any "fashion disaster" features in magazines or this blog. But in her shiny silver suit seen here, she looks more like a stylized version of the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz, rather than an A-list actress. I don't know if wearing a suit that emphasizes any comparisons to a robot is such a good idea for someone whose face appears so suspiciously unwrinkled. Unfortunately, she's not having such a great time at the box office either, with her most recent film, "The Golden Compass." Forbes magazine is suggesting that Nicole's not giving moviegoers much bang for their buck, earning $8 for every dollar she's paid, compared to stars like Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston, who bring in $15 and $17 per dollar paid to them respectively. Maybe she figured that if she wore an outfit that appeared to be out of a precious metal, it would justify to people why she's so damn expensive.

Maybe it's all this Xmas cheer, but that suit is gorgeous and she looks great to me. By the way I just saw the Golden Compass - it's watered down from the books, but it was an entertaining movie. I think bad word of mouth hurt the box office. It was not a bad movie at all, there's much worse out there. Trust.

Looks like she is trying to deflect Xenu's spaceship radar/detector from outer space. That movie should be called "The Aluminium Compass" not Golden..*brumbatz*
