Spring break! WHOOOOOOOOOOOO! Jamie Lynn Spears appears to be a girl about to go wild here, pictured with her baby-daddy-to-be, Casey Aldridge. And now that the cat is out of the bag that not only has the sixteen-year-old been sexually active with her boyfriend of nearly two and a half years (as she claims), she's pregnant. This, of course, leads to the question of Casey's age, which is rumored to be eighteen or nineteen, and also where the two consummated their relationship. If the young couple got it on in Louisiana, where Jamie Lynn resides part of the year, while Casey was nineteen, then Aldridge could possibly be charged with what is referred to as "felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile," meaning, "sexual intercourse with consent between someone age 19 or older and someone between age 12 and 17." It's unclear as to whether or not an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Jamie Lynn's pregnancy will ensue, but I'm pretty sure they'll both be found guilty of bad judgment. That's right, Old Aunt Lisa has spoken! You kids and your shenanigans. Stay in school, dammit! Pre-marital sex leads straight into the fiery bowels of hell! Also, do as I say, not as I do.

Bottom line is that the religios right and conservative america will NEVER be happy until and unless no one in America ever has sex except in the confines of marriage. Their abstinence program has failed miserably (so miserbaly in fact that teen pregnancy is up and your Republican congress even downsized their budget).
They want to crucify this kid for getting knocked up and HAVING HER BABY.
How about the alternative? How about she got knocked up, had an abortion, you knew nothing about it... would you still love her then???
She shouldn't be having sex in the first place blah blah blah.... she did, she's preggers, and she made a tough choice. Her life is going to be tough enough without trumped up charges- but yes, lets throw her baby daddy in jail. If she weren't on Nickelodean, just how long so you think a 16 could support a baby with no financial assistance and earning 74 cents to a man's dollar???

I don't know where you went to school but I went to public school in southern california my entire life and was never once taught on the 'abstinence program' so I wouldn't be blaming our government. Chances are JL didn't even go to a normal school because she was too busy trying to follow in her sister's foot steps. Lucky for her she is succeeding!
Plus you'd think if she was 'smart enough' to be on Nickelodean making hundreds of thousands of dollars she might have the common sense to not mess that up.
They're not going to charge the baby daddy anyway. They aren't going to be able to find any conclusive evidence that any of this happened in Louisiana and I'm sure no one there really cares that much anyway. Someone in Louisiana probably knew about the law and start yapping their trap to anyone who would listen.

A 14 year old that has sex with someone is being manipulated into it. When the guy is older he is definitely manipulating her, and he should also know better than to risk her health and body like that! What is he saying to himself? "Duuuh we wont get preggeeers."
Jamie Lynn has been at this for awhile, and now she's pregnant at 16.

All I have to say is, Jamie-Lynn, adorable and innocent as she is, is old enough and coherent enough to give consent. I don't think her parents disapprove of her relationship with Aldridge. It shouldn't even be anybody else's business, to be honest. I know the state of Louisiana may prosecute Aldridge, but, what the hell for? She fucked up, got pregnant, the end. She's not 8, she's not even 10, she's 16. Period.

I can understand both sides of everyone's views on this situation. I was sexually active at a very young age. I had my first child when I was, guess what age, 16. I have missed a lot of my youth but I was in a different situation than most young ladies.
I was living on my own at age 15 due to the fact of family issues. I had been dating my boyfriend since I was 14 and we were not sexually active with one another until I moved in with him at 16 and he was 18. And of course you put a 16 and 18 yr old together in one house alone and you know what is going to happen.
2 months before my 17th birthday I gave birth to my oldest. I do not regret it. I have been with him for 11 years now and we had a second child together. We are a very happy family.
Some might say that I should have waited until I was older and a little wiser. If I could turn back the hands of time and change anything it surely would not have been to have given birth to my daughter. I understand that people have their opinions and you are completely entitled to them but I also believe that people are too quick to pass judgment on others. “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”
