Jamie Lynn was honest about her pregnancy, is having the baby and taking full responsibility for her actions. Isn't that like 90% more than what most teens do? Can't we give her some credit for that? She easily could have aborted, lied about, and/or dumped the child on someone else.

I guess some people think abortion would be a better choice. I don't. My child won't get pregnant at 16 but if she did she'd be doing what Madonna did and keepin her baby!

It's spreading around that someone with connections to Britney lawyer's office just leaked a pdf and it's rumored to be an official invitation from singer Al Walser, the Goodwill Ambassador from Liechtenstein, to Britney and Jamie Lynne via Brit's attorney.
This source tells me that she suspects Britney may be going to visit their consulate this coming week. I know that some time ago the Jackson family was looking for a home in Liechtenstein, one of the richest countries in the world. Is Britney or Jamie Lynne trying to pull a Michael and disappear to this barely known country?? It would be the right time to get away wouldn't it? I don't know if they can hide anywhere here in the States with the press all around.

I wonder how many people even give a thought to the fact that someone is trying to ruin her life, granted she is not doing very well at life herself, but someone is on the fast track to making her life as miserable as possible and I for one would like to know who that is. It sounded as if we are all suppose to agree that she is a no-body, my dear friends, this is not how we are to treat people, as far as the Pops are concerned, they are the low-life feeding off of those who may or may not be having a hard time getting things together in their lives, if you want to get down on someone and make them feel like life is not worth living, lets go after the blood suckers who make their living causing all sorts of hate and discontenment for others. MOST teens use birth control and don't get pregnant. And, of those who do, MOST of them take responsibility, either through termination, adoption or keeping it. it is a VERY small percentage who dump their baby.

I guess since Brit hasn't killed either of her kids yet, we should "give her credit" for it? Sheesh...talk about low expectations.

Where I grew up like 10 of my 15 closer friends had abortions as teenagers. Not proud of it. Just
thinking that teens don't always do what you're

Yeah, I love the idea that giving birth to a child at 16 is "taking responsibility." And I'm sure that kid's going to grow up in a stable, mature, nurturing household. GOOD. GOD.

Hey, having child and taking care of it is a hell of a lot more responsible than abortion! Getting pregnant and then aborting is the pinnacle of irresponsibility. In a perfect world, all sexually active teens would be on birth control. But they're not. Some make mistakes. And when they do, I think it's pretty responsible to step up and care for what you've created. If she can't do that, then adoption would be another responsible option.

And this isn't a pro-choice message somehow? I simply said that I feel this teen should be given kudos for owning up to her responsibilities, whether she chooses adoption or motherhood.

It certainly is her responsibility to be a role model. If she is making millions of dollars from being watched by millions of young kids on a kids' network... she absolutely is and should be a role model.

It's pretty easy to "own up to your responsibility" when there's not much downside to having a baby at 16.

Jamie Lynn isn't facing a situation where she'd have to drop out of school, pass up a chance to go to college, or go on welfare. Her family doesn't have to risk bankruptcy to pay for the cost of having a baby.

She can afford nannies. She can go out and have fun while someone else cares for the baby. She's got money in the bank. It's going to impact her career, but you can bet she's still going to be able to make money - or live off her sister's cash.

What I'm wondering about is why a sixteen year old is having unprotected sex. She's lucky she just got pregnant instead of getting VD, chamydia, or HIV.
