Kat Von D Returns to "L.A. Ink" Season Two

Kat tells us again that "It's so good to be back in L.A." and I happily watched her return to the second season of "L.A. Ink," mostly because the cliche tattoo stories tickle me so. There are the women who want to "show their feminine side," men who want to "honor those they've loved," and I've seen this show and "Miami Ink" so much that I can confidently spot a dead baby tattoo as soon as they walk in the door. Apparently, all those stupid Tweety Bird tattoos are drawing themselves onto drunk idiots. But I digress...

She and boyfriend Orbi, whom I recognize from his band's reality show, "The Rock Life" had returned after her stint of going on tour with him and his band Whitestarr and the two of them seem happy enough. Meanwhile, I do enjoy her campy, over-the-top style, but I can't help but have my inner mom ask why she can't wear a little less make-up and pull back her hair so we can see that pretty face of hers.

i really love your blog but think about (some) things before you write them. the "dead baby tattoo" comment was completely offensive (my 4 month old daughter 5 months ago from sids). it made me sick to my stomach-- you're better than that.

if it wasnt for TLC/Discovery Kat would be in the gutter somewhere..she was brought on to Miami Ink for a 'change of scenery' to try, and keep the audience interested with a 'female'...sex sells...her skillls as a tattoo artist are mediocre at best...personally, i think she isnt good looking at all...i love tattoos, and tattooed women, so its not a anti-tattoo thing...TLC/Discovery needs to get some new/fresh ideas, and stop trying to milk the old ones for that last cent..I mean come on, Miami Ink, LA Ink, and London Ink..Its all basically the same show..

out of curiosity, what is a dead baby tattoo? I mean its cool and all how sarcastic you can be about something so painful to those of us who have gone through that, it really warms my heart how easy it is for you to belittle the only meaningful tribute some people can find. I know its much more interesting to do a show about people who get a mighty mouse tattoo "cause it looked cool". Isn't that really it? Without those stories you pretty much just have people getting tattoos just cause they like the way it looks, no story. Thats boring TV. They'd be forced to focus on the tattoo artist and they are mostly douchebags.

That comment offends me deeply. I love killing babies.

Hi Kat:

Just wanna tell you that Jesus Loves You and only He can fill that empty void in your life! John 3:16

It is appointed unto to man once to die and after that the judgement. Kat, we all have to stand before God one day, and only those that lived for Christ, having Him live in their lives as Lord and Savior, will spend eternal life in Heaven with Christ but those who choose to reject Christ, will spend eternity in a Lake Of Eternal Fire and eternal suffering. These are facts of reality and I care enough about your soul I believed that you should hear the truth.

God Loves You, Kat. Please think about it!!!!

In Christ:

Brian

Brian you are a fucking weirdo for starters.
And fuck you guys and your offense to dead baby tattoo's comment.
It was a fucking joke you don't agree? take your comments else where.

Not much of a joke really. I hope you remember that someday when your child dies in your arms and your life is a black hole of dispair where you struggle everyday not to take your own life because the memories of their suffering are too much to take. Hilarious isn't it. Much better to be high and mighty rather than just turn off bad tv. Jackass.

Got a picture so I can get it tattoo'd?

Blogs are not a place for the faint at heart. I, too, can spot a dead baby tattoo from a mile away- and thoroughly enjoyed your post.

Sometimes there is little that can pull one from the pit of dispair and eternal darkness than an inked portrait the size of texas serving as a daily reminder to such pain and misfortune.

We all have our reasons... cliche butterfly tramp stamps, tribal, and tribute tattoos- where would the tattoo world be without them?
