It's been confirmed that second-place "American Idol" contestant, Katherine McPhee has been let go by RCA after last year's lackluster sales of her self-titled debut left the label underwhelmed by her performance as an artist. Following in the footsteps of Idol alumni, Ruben Studdard and Taylor Hicks, Katherine McPhee is no longer an artist under the Sony BMG banner. As it turns out, her background in musical theater wasn't exactly strong enough to prepare her for a career in the recording industry, but whatever, she's really pretty and could probably do Broadway or some make-up endorsements. Don't cry for her, Argentina.
