So Ricki Lake actually got herself a career post-incredibly trashy talk show. Movie producer! Here's pics from the premiere of her flick that she executive produced, "The Business Of Being Born". It's all about how midwifery is preferable to hospital birth and how The film "encourages childbearing women to embrace birth as a powerful -- and empowering -- life event rather than view it as an illness in need of medical treatment." I don't know, is getting placenta out of the sheets easy? Afterbirth's gotta be a heckuva mess to clean up. Look at all the midwifery-minded ladies who showed up for Ricki's big night! Debbie Gibson showed up! Electric Youth! Rachel Harris cracks me up. And...Holly Robinson Peete? That ho will go to the opening of a salad bar. Did they chant "Ricki, Ricki!" after Ricki called Damon out on being the father of LaShawnda's baby and not coming through on the child support? Wait, wrong career phase for Ricki. My bad.

That's nice for her and all but giving birth is NO joke. A movie about telling you not to get meds for when the pain hits the hell out your vajayjay. Ugh!

Actually, the midwives clean up for you. They brought me a meal in bed, too, and came to my home for follow-up visits, so I didn't have to drive around with a 2 day old baby.
