Ok, ok, I give. Wait, the source is Fox News. Approach carefully. Wait, and THEIR source is some dude's Mom. What the hell? I might stand by my earlier findings. While running the NYC marathon, Katie was photographed with a Paul Vincent AND another dude named Wes Okerson. Wes Okerson's Mom has cleared the whole thing up for us by explaining that Paul and Wes are Katie's trainers. "Wes trained Katie and, yes, she really ran the marathon," Wes' mom Mary told Fox News. Uh, ok. Wes was also Tom Cruise's guest at his New York premiere for "Lions For Lambs". So he must be Tom's sideline ho and he keeps him around under the guise of "Katie's trainer". And this still doesn't explain how she had the EXACT same time as Paul Vincent. And I know some of our readers say you can wear heels without screaming afterwards but those people are obviously X-Men. Dude, nix that headline, I'm still not convinced.

That's a 12 1/2 min. mile .....definately not superhero material. In fact, that pace probably includes a few walk breaks.
I'm not knocking the accomplishments of the back of the pack runner, just trying to put it in perspective.

Eh, I'm as much of a conspiracy theorist as the next gal (I don't believe Tiny Tom is her baby daddy, for example), but I'm not buying that she cheated. Like mentioned above, a 12 minute mile is a slow jog, at best.
And while I've never exercised for 5 straight hours, I would imagine that training for 10 hours a week for two and a half months would leave you adequately prepared to go out to dinner (or a movie premier...whatever) that evening. It's not like she went dancing or ran another marathon or anything.

Speaking as someone who has trained for and successfully ran 2 marathons, let me put thins in more perspective. The first marathon is the worst. As I understood it, she trained for only 2 months. That's the sort of training that only elite runners do, with lots of experience. There is absolutely NO WAY that her body would not have been sore and screaming after doing her first marathon. My legs hurt so bad that it took me 3 days to fully recover, with massage and salt baths. Her pace of 12+ min/mile is slow, but the human body is not able to recover from that sort of training without extensive preparation. I do not believe that she ran the marathon and I would like to see pictures of her crossing the finish line without Paul Vincent, if she really did. Okay, that was long. Sorry :)
