Taking some time off the Cruise will do that to a prisoner. Her smile might fade when she realizes that there is speculation that she might have pulled a Rosie Ruiz manuever and not actually fun the New York City marathon. At the time, people commented how she was able to wear heels that very night after she ran it, AND how she registered in August which only gave her so much time to train for it. But now there's reports that the computer chip she ran with (every runner with a number gets one) recorded the EXACT SAME TIME as a runner named Paul Vincent. Who might be the runner that was photographed accompanying her in the marathon. Having the exact same time in a marathon is supposedly impossible and could mean Vincent was sporting her chip as well as his own. Bitch took the subway and jumped in on the last mile. Don't front, Katie! You were wearing heels! Most people would be wearing one of those Jiffy-Pop blankets and lying under the table with the Dixie cups of water after running a marathon!

Yes the heels are suspicious. I did a cross country marathon once and afterwards drove home. When I arrived and stood out of the car, the old legs gave way under me.Collapsed up against the car door. I had to shout at the neighbours that I wasn't drunk driving.

I wore heels the next night too! If you get your trainers fitted properly your feet are fine, just a bit achy!

I ran the Stockholm marathon back in '06 with a finishing time similar to Katie's (nothing to really brag about there!). I didn't really train for the run, I just went out and did it because I wanted to. It was hard but that night I was in heels dancing my (very sore) little booty away at one of the clubs. It can be done!

You can verify the chip times by looking at the NYC Marathon results. Paul Vincent came in at 5:13:38 and Katie Holmes came in at 5:13:17.

I know SEALS who ran marathons and lost toenails because the human body is made for sprinting not endurance. That's nature's way. You can and must train your mind and lungs to forget fight or flight, but the bones and muscles still obey nature.
Katie wore heels that night. Her feet would still be swollen from impact even in good trainers/sneakers. I run, and I can afford the best shoes. My feet still hurt at a half-marathon and certainly swell from impact.

That story is just BS. I ran the Chicago marathon a few years ago. It was my first , and I trained for about 3 months. My running time was about the same as Katie's (5:30). I took a shower after the run, got on a plane back to LA, went to bed, and got up and went to work the next day, no worse for the wear and tear. Yes I had heels on that night. The human body is an amazing thing. I think a lot of thinks about Tom and Kate seem fake, but I really don't think she faked running the marathon.

She ran without a bra and also wearing yoga plants that were so long they were dragging on the ground.
The rules state that the timing chip was to be attached to the shoe and in plain site. Her pants covered where it was supposed to be.
That was okay since her "body guard" actually had it on HIS shoe.
And note from the pictures, her pants were not even frayed around the hems from dragging on the ground for 26.2 miles.
And the only pictures of her are from the start and from mile 22 to the finish line.

I've run 3 marathons,was able to wear heels the same night on all occasions. Ice baths help. The night of the NYC marathon, she wore open toed shoes, which would definitely be more comfortable with the swelling. Not everyone loses toenails in training. From what she's said about her preparations, it doesn't seem to have been intense enough to have warrented toe nail loss.
