Brad Renfro was found dead in his apartment on Tuesday morning. He was 25. Susan Sarandon worked with him on "The Client" when he was just eleven years old, and commented on his death. ""I had the pleasure of working with Brad when he was eleven in THE CLIENT. It was obvious to everyone that he was the sweetest, most incredibly gifted young actor to come along for some time. My heart goes out to the family for their tragic loss," she said. Seriously. What a waste. Did you guys ever see "Bully"? It was some Larry Clark teen porno-type deal but Brad looked smoking hot in it. And he was talented. It's tragic. Brad had a past history of drug abuse and run-ins with the legals. And he was reported to be drinking on Monday night before his roommates discovered his body the next morning. The toxicology reports will take a couple of weeks, but the autopsy itself is planned for today. Stay tuned on the actual cause of death. Sad.

Really sad. And he was great in Bully, but weirdly none of the sites cite that film--they mostly refer to Client and Apt Pupil. Check it out, it's Brad at his best in roles the NY Times describes this way: "Mr. Renfro carved out a niche playing inarticulate, vulnerable, alienated youths in everything from glossy Hollywood blockbusters to hardscrabble independent dramas. His acting was naturalistic and emotionally transparent; he played humiliation and frustration with disarming and sometimes upsetting frankness."

It's awful. I just watched Bully the other day and it floored me. Rich from FourFour mentioned that Brad Renfro was the third young actor to die after appearing in a Larry Clark film.

Very sad. I wonder if he could have some kind of undiagnosed heart condition or something? It seems like at his age even if he used a lot of drugs it's hard to believe he'd die just from that. Though I guess Anna Nicole Smith's son died just from drugs and he was even younger.

really, really sad. i was also wondering about suicide. He had battled his addiction for so long, and i know that can lead to incredible depression and hopelessness. i hope he is at peace now.

It's truly a shame, he was my pretend boyfriend when I was just a hatchling.

it,s sad story, it,s a about a hero...to me i can,t found actors like him,he still 25 years that,s shame...there is something wrong, Brad Renfro PLAYED all the bad boys...and that's just the way we like him!all we!!!
i,m sorry about him, but he will still living in my heart, i hope he is at peace now.
then wh must have to found soloution to our problem THE DRUGS we must have to fix it because this is the big monister who still eating our sons, and destroying our communities.
