Well, because he's Captain Kirk! No, William Shatner hasn't been playing around with his DNA, Chris Pine is playing James T. Kirk in J.J. Abrams new Star Trek movie. Which I'm sure is going to be hot. I'm not a Trekkie, but I know several people who are. And J.J. did "Alias" and "Lost", etc. And "Cloverfield". Which I saw over the weekend. 9/11 exorcism aside, if you like watching gigantic amounts of property damage and twentysomethings with nice skin and impossibly hot NYC loft apartments running terrified and dying in gruesome ways - this is the one for you. It wasn't as hot as the trailer made it out to be, but it's good. Anyway, the new Star Trek teaser is attached to it. It's just a blip, but some of the Trekkies in the theatre went into orgasm throes.
Uh, J. Harvey geekery aside, here's some pics from the premiere of "Bottle Shock" at Sundance. "Bottle Shock" is a story about wine contests in California and Paris. I'd rather just drink it. And speaking of geekery! There's Eliza Dushku! Ohmygod! She's a hometown girl! And she's Faith! From Buffy! She kicks ass and speaks with a Boston accent. Hottest Slayer ever. Seriously, with this post I just moved into Ri-Ri Harvey's basement and consigned myself to eating Krispy Kremes and playing the Wii 24- 7 while compulsively masturbating.
