When the news of Heath Ledger's death broke, model Helena Christensen was literally en route to visit him. The two had been rumored to be romantically-involved at one point in time. According to the Danish model, "I was on my way over to pay him a visit when I found out. I had just left him a message and heard his voice on the machine..."
Christensen expressed her condolences to Heath's family, describing the actor as "a special and genuine person, so extraordinarily talented because he was so raw and honest with his feelings."
Meanwhile, Michelle Williams, Heath's ex-fiancee and the mother of his two-year-old daughter, Matilda Rose, has arrived in New York today. The actress had been in Sweden, shooting the film "Mammoth," when the news broke. According to a witness, "Michelle was so quiet ... not saying a word. She was in her own world."
