Diddy is dropping his club shootout brand name and going as respected actor "Sean Combs" as he brings his hit Broadway adaption of "Raisin in the Sun" to...ABC? They show tv movies at Sundance now? I know there's some star wattage involved (well, hello Claire Huxtable!) but really? Anyway, Diddy premiered the film at Sundance the other night and says that he suffers from "split personality". Diddy is the media mogul and Sean Combs is actor guy. Which one is being sued for spitting on people and throwing them into cabs? "Sean" says that he "became" his character Walter Lee. He also executive-produced the film. "A Raisin in the Sun" is a powerful, historic play so I can't bag on it too much. But Diddy's about......damn, I still can't snark that well today. Heath Ledger's gone.

calm down, Grantster. it's far too early in the morning for such flamboyant histrionics over someone else's grief.
Grant says:

peachpie says:

Alexis says:
Wasn't he the only lead in the show NOT nominated for a Tony? I just can't wrap my head around "Sean Combs" in a role that was so perfectly-played by Sidney Poitier. I also can't wrap my head around how good-looking some of this cast is...
BK says:
Ewwww. I thought I asked you never to put up pictures of him again.
Shelly says:

Oh My Goddess says:
I might be a little biased but.....I studied Theater with Phylicia Rashad at Howard University. I was a freshman during her last year and she was our reigning "prima donna" even back then. Her quiet and subtle talent was evident even as a student of drama. And she has only gotten better with time. It is an honor for me to sit here in my home and watch a Howard University alumni and former fellow Howard Player re-create the role which made her the first black woman to win a Tony for best performance by a leading actress in a play.
My career took me into the record business where Sean was one of my clients. While I don't expect him to be as good as Phylicia and Audra McDonald, he has made an amazing jump from "bling-bling to Broadway". And to use his money and power to bring this classic to the television audiences gives him more "cool points" in my book than Tyler Perry with that "Madea mess" of his.
