Despite denials that there would be a memorial service in Los Angeles for the recently deceased Heath Ledger from his rep, one was held last night. A small group of mourners, including Heath's ex-girlfriend Naomi Watts, gathered at Westwood Village Memorial Park. Naomi was said to be "visibly upset". Mourners arrived in the lobby of the Beverly Hills Hotel prior to the service. On the opposite coast, a statement by Heath's father was read at the G'Day USA: Australia Week 2008 Black Tie Gala in New York City yesterday. This event was at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel and featured several celebrities including Jessica Alba. Around a 1,000 guests were read a statement by Australia's consul-general written by Kim Ledger. He said ""Heath did not become an actor for the fame or fortune. He loved his craft and he loved helping his friends. He loved chess and skateboarding too. My image of Heath in New York is him with his skateboard, a canvas bag and his beanie. That was Heath to me." Kim Ledger's written statement concluded with ""Heath is and always will be an Australian." Ouch. You know that this is a serious post as I am totally avoiding baggin' on Jessica Alba and you know she makes me see red for some reason.

When is Tom "Whack Job" Cruise going to COME OUT and say that if only Heath Ledger had taken some "classes" at Xenu Univ. instead of drugs, he'd still be alive?
Jack says:
Jessica looks "fantastic"! Anyone know what her connection with Australia is?

My heart goes out to his little one and his family and friends I can only imagine how difficult this is for them, I wish them all the strength in the world to go on, and keep his memory alive, to remember all the beautiful memories, to always remind Matilda what a loving father she had most power to them now and ever. He is really a great all-around actor. His role in Brokeback Mountain was definitely a breakthrough for him. Really enjoy every minute of it even on DVD: http://dealstudio.com/viewtopic.php?t=35760&ru=279 , Thanks for all the great memories Sweetheart! God bless you! Always miss you!!!

Jack, I think she lived in Sydney during the filming of Flipper and Julian McMahon was in F4 with her.
Otherwise, nothing.
