An online poll named Julia Roberts as the Best-Dressed Oscar winner for the dress she was wearing when she went on stage to accept her trophy for her part in "Erin Brockovich." This black and white Valentino gown helped Julia edge out Halle Berry, whose beaded dress by Badgley Mishka followed close behind Julia in the poll held by Parade.com. Both actresses won an Oscar that year, but it looks like Julia was able to squeak by in the poll as having the better dress with 25% of the votes to Halle's 24%.

But the fashionable actress is keeping it casual in this series of pictures here, which show the Oscar winner leaving the John Frieda salon with a new do from her favorite hairstylist Serge Normant. Even though it's a bit of a plain ensemble, I rather like it. I love her glasses, and the coat is a nice color--plus her hair looks good. OK, I'm probably only attracted to this look as a direct result of my affection for Liz Lemon and all things Tina Fey.

Nicky Hilton is leaving what looks like a restaurant, with her boyfriend, David Katzenberg, close behind her. But from the pictures I saw on the Daily Mail of Nicky walking around in shorts, I really doubt that she's really doing all that much eating. Already a slim girl, Nicky's legs looked downright spindly in the pictures, prompting the site to compare her to Amy Winehouse. Of course, it could be a weird angle, but still, it's more fun to be concerned.

She might just be too stressed to eat, what with her brother getting his first DUI, Paris generally acting the fool on a regular basis and her pretty much existing as the only one of her siblings who appears to be keeping it together for the most part.

In any case, I really like her purse.

I assume this "For The Love Of Audrey Rose" look of Mischa Barton's is for a movie, but she looks like a 70's schoolgirl who's gone a couple rounds with Satan. A little too pretty to have mean girls thrown O.B. tampons at her in the shower, but probably still getting pushed into the mud on the playground in a plaid skirt and hearing voices hissing at her to kill her grandma for Beelzebub.

So Mischa Barton was offered a role on CW's "Gossip Girl" series. "Gossip Girl" is kind of like "90210" except it's in NYC, everyone dresses like it's Easter, and there's a lot of text messaging. There's a small audience for it, but it's a rabid one. I myself like that short greasy one with the emo hair and the smirk. Short guys try harder.

Mischa was offered the role of an old friend of the head bitch, Serena, but she turned it down. She wants to concentrate on movies and driving drunk while wearing stoner t-shirts. Hey, whatever it takes to relax man. Mellow out, h'okay?

Jesse James and Sandra Bullock are looking like two smooth operators in their dark jackets and sunglasses as they leave "Jean Shop" in New York City. Aww, I also love the pictures of her trying to handle her two little dogs by herself. I feel like we haven't seen these guys out and about in a while. I guess when nobody's trying to run Jesse over with car, there's not too much for us to talk about, really, aside from their union of hotness.

This is a fantastic picture of Mary-Kate Olsen at the Giambattista Valli fashion show during Paris Fashion Week. The hyphenated half of the entity known as the Olsen twins, was rocking some super-sized specs, along with her mysterious grin. I totally want a pair of those now. They're just so...weird. I love it.

Both twins are in town, enjoying the shows and MK was also spotted here, heading to the Chanel Ready-to-wear autumn/winter fashion show at the Grand Palais in Paris. God, it felt expensive, just typing that sentence.

Well, a series renewal is making someone smug! Here's Courtney Cox at the premiere for the second season of her show "Dirt" on FX. Court not only stars in the show, she's the executive producer. She stars as Lucy Spiller, editor of a gossip rag. This season the show will continue to feature stories ripped right from the tabloids, thinly disguising the sordid lives of Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Alec Baldwin. I saw one episode last season and I wasn't impressed but first seasons can be rough. Courtney says that she sorta/kinda sees the point of view of the tabs now: "It doesn't mean that I agree with it all. I definitely don't agree with the obsession on certain celebrities. I understand the fascination. But when it gets obsessive, I think it gets dangerous. So I haven't changed my view, but definitely I've learned all sides of it, for sure." And in even happier news, rejoice, I will be recapping this season starting next week! Now will someone e-mail me and fill my ass in. All I know is that she's a bitch and runs a magazine. Is anything else important?

So Nicole Richie got offered the chance to play Roxie Hart in "Chicago" on Broadway. This would be interesting seeing as I'm pretty sure she can't act, move or sing. She like had a book ghostwritten and she's Lionel Richie's adopted daughter, right? Isn't that extent of it? "She's definitely interested and weighing it out with the timing of the baby," says a source. "It is in the super early stages of discussions and no decision has been made yet."

"It would give her a reason to really show her talent and to stay in the new place in NY Joel just got," the source says. "It also shows people are really excited about Nicole right now."
