Man, just a few short years ago, Britney was the sweet little virgin next door, Christina Aguilera was running around in crotchless chaps and Jessica Simpson was worming her way into our hearts by saying silly little things that indicated that she had the brain power of a 8-year-old child. And we loved her for it. Since then, her messy divorce and subsequent stinkers of movies and albums have had her career in a tailspin.
According to publicist, Howard Bragman, who gave his expert opinion on Jessica's situation to the Seattle Times, girlfriend needs to stop spreading herself so thin and "do fewer things better." It's nice to see her starting with "hair and make-up."

I don't think it's a matter of her spreading herself thin. It's more that because she's so washed up, she's going from project to project in a desperate attempt to find some new format that will embrace her. Hence the "country album" that she never showed the least amount of interest in making until her dance pop record tanked.
Ashlee is the same way. She was a "rocker" on her last album, which didn't do so great. So now her latest single sounds like a Missing Persons outtake from 1983. People who know who they are artistically don't do this sort of thing.
I really can't stand Jessica Simpson and her transparent attempts to get publicity through serial dating. There's no one I want to see fail more, not even Britney.

Jessica has always had an interest in Country music. She stated before that Dolly Parton was one of her idols. She worked will wille nelson on the 'boots are made for walking' single (which she elected to do). She had two country stle songs on her last album.
