If you thought that maybe Miley Cyrus would fade back into her Disney channel domain now that her concert tour is over, you had better think again. "Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert" hit 3-D theaters everywhere, grossing $29 million during a difficult weekend.
The concert flick managed to be the top grossing film of the weekend, despite the fact that the 3-D version limited it to less than 1,000 theaters. Records include the top gross on Superbowl weekend, top concert film opening, biggest 3-D film opening, and highest average money made per theater.
The film was originally supposed to be out only for a week. Good news though, if you were one of those who chose the superbowl over your Miley Cyrus fix, you can catch it again at most theaters this weekend, since Disney has decided to keep it in many theaters for an additional week.
