Irish actor, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, looks like he could use some eye drops as he leaves the Villa nightclub in Los Angeles. The star of "Tudors" has recently claimed to have sworn off drinking so that he could become a "really successful actor," and also because he sees himself as a "role model." Hmm, I hope his eyes are bloodshot from staying up late, reading scripts.
In a recent interview, he had some interesting reactions to the questions posed to him. First off, he said, "Any actor who tells you they're not vain is bullsh*tting," which he followed with, "Any actor who believes that their physicality is not an intrinsic part of why they land a role is fooling themselves."
He also said that all actors are insecure and followed it with, "And if they tell you they're not, they're lying." I'm starting to get the gist that Jonathan would like you to know that most actors are liars. Color me not shocked.

I like this guy. He's kind of on the edge, but he's honest (and right on). He's also amazing in The Tudors. Great show!

I know a lot of folks who have raw, red eyes due to wearing contacts. Let's hope that's the cause of his red eyes.

The eyes are an Irish condition. My eyes are often red like that even if I haven't drank a drop. It's the genetic misery. Hee hee.
His mother passed away recently in County Cork. From what I've read, he had a pretty rough upbringing, broken family, drinking, unemployment. But he seems like a decent enough skin and was very close to his mother.

Re: The red eyes - it's a condition of light skinned people with strawberry blonde hair. It's just the skin tone. This guy is dark haired and such, so I think he's probably drinking or has been smoking too much pot.

Perhaps he just left a very smoky club and has allergy eyes. And the contact thing, I concurr. I love how some of us just wish people ill.

Maybe people should worry less about his personal habits or not and just leave the poor guy alone . He's just human and we all have our vices. If he drinks or smokes so what . I think he is a wonderful actor and by his own actions proved he is a good person. I wish him all the best this world has to offer.
