You may have heard of famous designer Halston. He dressed all those coked up glitter kitten sluts like Ms. Liza Minelli at Studio 54 back in the day. Lately, because I have no head for dates or decades or whatever, I am using "back in the day" to indicate sometime in the past. It could be 1977 or it could be sometime BC. I just hope people get the gist. Anyway, Halston kicked in 1990 and since then there have been a couple of unsuccessful attempts to resurrect the brand name. This time, the Weinstein Co. is running things, and they've brought on former Jimmy Choo director Tamara Mellon and celebrity stylist riverbed-appearing Rachel Zoe to head up the new Halston. Here's some pics from the Halston show during Fashion Week in NYC. Well, they got Christian Slater to show up! That's a start! You know it's important if he missed the "Kuffs" autograph booth at the Movie Magic convention in Pensacola, Florida for this.
