Angelina Jolie spoke with CNN about her visit to Baghdad. If she is, in fact pregnant, then she's doesn't seem to be slowing down in her international humanitarian efforts. I'm sure the interviewer was instructed to leave any questions about Brangelina twins off the table and yes, I know that I'm a dolt for even addressing the issue of her pregnancy when Angie's clearly there because of a WAR and not to talk about celebrity gossip. But still, it's my job.
Angie expressed a feeling of urgency and concern for the displaced Iraqi people saying, "I don't see borders...I see lives and I see children and this is, you know, an environment where there is a war but there is a humanitarian crisis. And they have to be addressed simultaneously. We can't wait for one to end to then finally take the time to address the other, it has to start right now."
And, on a strictly superficial level, I feel bad for the woman interviewing her, because she looks as if she had been trapped in a wind tunnel moments before the interview. That's right, I just got my kicks making fun of the hair of a WAR CORRESPONDENT.

This surprises exactly no one.
saddy-pants says:
that's right- it surprises no one but I am still laughing, You crack me up. Regularly. Lighten up KuntFace, good writing is acceptable even in times of war. sheesh.
FuntKase says:
And where might I find this "good writing" ??
The only thing I find here is bitchy, hateful jealousy. It's why I come here... to spew my own shit along with the "writers" who run the joint.

i have to admit that i am really impressed with her eloquence. obviously, much of her life is a PR machine, and she realizes that in going to iraq in the middle of awards season she can get the greatest amount of coverage -- and, of course, the pregnancy speculation doesn't hurt -- but she's actually taking something that could just be a huge annoyance in her life and is using it for good. that's quite impressive.

I agree. I'm completely impressed with Jolie's eloquence. The reporter isn't just windblown, she doesn't even seem to have a handle on what she's talking about or even listening to Jolie's replies. She's reading questions off a card and kudos to Jolie for calling her on it a few times.
Ugh says:
She never ceases to amaze me at what she'll do for attention. I'm sick of celebs who think they can save the world. Her going there won't help anything, except it gets her picture taken and that's all she wants.
SayWhat?!?! says:
...and after the photo ops, she gets into her private suv limo, that takes her back to her 5-star hotel room, waiting to then again climb into her private suv limo, with of course, a USA Forces escort to the airport, that has her private jet waiting to bring her back to one of her mansions, in the USA.
A few speeches, and photo-ops will NEVER change anything. Those people are still going to live in squatter....but hey its good PR for Angelina!
Samantha says:
The US government should not be paying for her security while she is on a photo-op in war zone. She has plenty of money to hire her own security. She is risking the lifes of US troops so she can inflate her own ego.
Les says:
I hope people who post here realize that she is not the only celebrity who does things for charity or for the war effort. All you have to do is "Google" celebs and charities, etc. She, however, is the only one who does it with planned publicity.
I am not impressed that a supposedly pregnant woman would go to a war torn area to raise our awareness of something we all knew existed.
Memememe says:
In the end it all comes down to her. She's not doing this for anyone but herself. And nothing will come from this trip except more pictures of her looking all sad. This is a girl who use to wear a vial filled with blood around her neck and swapped spit with her own brother on national tv. Not to mention how well she manipulated Brad with Madox. She's quite the actress...on and off screen.
limo fan says:
She is pregnant. Endangering the her life and the baby in exchange for publicity. I couldn't think of any reason or change she can do by going to Baghdad.
