Madonna stepped onto the red carpet last night for her UNICEF event, the one that caused all the controversy regarding its connection to Kabbalah. Lourdes escorted her mother through the press line looking very much like a mini-me of her mother. One thing I have to say about Madonna is that I feel like she always dresses Lourdes in very age-appropriate stuff--nothing too trendy, even if is still ridiculously expensive.
Tom Cruise and wifey Katie Holmes turned up to the star-studded event and I like Katie's dress, up until the part where it became a cape. Crazy Jennifer Lopez was there pregnant as hell and I swear, she's going to be giving birth on the red carpet, she's on it so damn much. GO HOME, CRAZY! You're pregnant with TWINS for God's sake! And why do you have your boobs cinched with a belt? Is that part of "keeping it real"?
Madonna's buddy, Gwyneth Paltrow was there, showing off her fantastic gams in a dress that looks like a baby's party dress, but whatever, her legs look fabulous. Drew Barrymore and boyfriend, Justin Long, were there and no matter who he was dating before, old boy definitely traded up because there is no way he would be at this event if it weren't for Drew--"Die Hard" or not.

...other kids can be cruel. I think Lourdes is a beautiful girl, but she DID have an abundance of hair on her upper lip. More than you'd see on the average 11 year old. To simply avoid the potentially life-scarring verbal abuse she might get about her "mustache", I have to agree on hair removal.
