He recently chatted with W magazine about the turbulence that he went through these past few years, with his divorce from Reese Witherspoon playing out in the public eye.
Ryan said, "I've had a lot of upheaval in my personal life. I wanted to take time to make sure that my kids were okay and to build a new life that was going to be suitable to being a single parent. Every once in a while you kind of want to take a step back and refocus to make sure you're doing it for the right reasons."
I have to admit that I was very Team Reese when I first heard that they were splitting, believing the gossip that he might have stepped out on her, but I do have to give both him and Reese props for looking as if they are trying to be good parents through it all. And yes, the shirtless picture of Ryan is definitely helping his cause.
