Is it a hit or a miss (it's sounding like a miss to us)?
Mariah Carey wrote and produced the song with C. "Tricky" Stewart and The-Dream - and worked with other major producers on the full album due to be released April 15.

I'm not feelin' it AT ALL. But I heart Mimi, so I will keep giving it a chance. After all, I hated "It's Like That" at first and now it's one of my favorite Mariah songs.

SarahG says:
I listened to the first minute of the song yesterday off z100 and had to turn it off. Annoying as hell, whiney, and definitely not a step forward musically.
Puchie says:
I like it! I think she is a great artist. Go Mariah!
Ricko says:
This song is all I think about!
Amanda says:
Hmm maybe it is good that it is not instantly likeable. It is better for a song to grow on you IMO. I like it ans think it sounds fresh and diff that what is on the radio. anyway I LOVE it and can't wait for the album.

I don't know WHAT other people's comments are referring to...this song is lovely && wonderful in every regard. It IS definitely a fun track, not very "profound" musically...but Mariah even mentioned in press reviews and interviewing about the album that this was to be a fun record, and it certainly seems it will be. And I 100% think a step in tha right direction artistically. I liked The Emancipation of Mimi, but in general, many tracks sounded too similar or had very jazz-like/gospel soul elements which I was not a fan of. I think this new song & album goes back to her subtle R&B style which has always made her a success and will surely surpass her last (Touch My Body has already done significantly better alone that It's Like That with radio spins on first day) & prove to be another great edition to her hit-making collection!!!

Troy says:
I'm in China and one day I was in a cafe and I saw the video, but I couldn't hear the lyrics because the TV volume was so low. Then I saw at the end that it read "Mariah Carey E=MC2" and I thought, is that a new album. I went back to my hotel, downloaded the track and I've been listening to it over and over. I'm listening to it now as I write this. It's a sultry, sexy, and hot track. I love it. I keep seeing the image of a beautiful stripper on stage dancing to this song. Mariah is hotter than ever. I saw her when she was 19 in the Bay Area at the Summer Jam concert and she's grown more beautiful and confident with each successive album. Don't know how Tommy Motolla could have let that go. I'd be all around her ankles as she left the house screaming..."Please don't go." People make so much about her aging. I don't understand it. She's in the prime of her life. She's a real woman and not some teeny bopper like that Rhianna chick. Give me Mariah any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Go on Mariah, do yo thang, gurl.
Shina says:
This song is so good and refreshing. She deserves an International award for being one of the greatest artists ever. love you MC
