Kathleen Turner recently wrote a juicy, tell-all book, trashing former flames and co-stars and one of her anecdotes included a story that involved Nicolas Cage stealing a Chihuahua. In her book, she says specifically, "He was arrested twice for drunk driving and, I think, once for stealing a dog. He'd come across a Chihuahua he liked and stuck it in his jacket."
Now, Nick's going on the offensive, stating, "I have never been arrested for anything in my life, nor have I stolen a dog," and is now suing Turner for libel. Cage's lawyer has initiated libel proceedings for his client in London's High Court and unless Kathleen obliges him with "an apology and a retraction, he intends to go full speed ahead with litigation in the U.S." according to the statement released by Nick's rep to the New York Daily News.
It's sounds to me like a legal game of chicken. Who's gonna swerve first?
