Madonna says she identified with the subject matter because it's about struggling performers of which she was one. She spoke about "the cold harsh reality when I arrived in New York only to find that there were thousands of girls that wanted to do the same thing, and I wasn't so special after all - that I was never going to be able to pay the rent . . . and that I was going to have to do other things to feed myself." Translation: beaver shots. I've seen em'. She was young and hairy. It's all about survival! Madge also uses her own song "Erotica" in the short, and a Britney Spears song because they're friends and Britney didn't charge her that much. I hope to Christ that when she asked about that she also urged Britney to dump the Get-A-Along gang and get some help!

Personally, I wouldn't have elective surgery done when I still had small children but I'm not saying I'd NEVER have it done. She looks good.

She looks good because she takes great care of her body and eats well (from what I've read). She's also not into heavy duty plastic surgery, so she's aging well. People who think injected faces, pumped up lips and giant boobs make a person look young are just stupid. Yeah - take care of yourself and your skin, but go to the extreme and you'll look extreme (and not in a good way). My 2 cents

Yup, Madonna/Madge/Esther had her eyes done. Kabbalah water is not responsible for lifting the corners and smoothing the crow's feet. At least she appears to have gone to a good surgeon. She learned the lesson of Tara Reed: never use the discount coupon when getting nipped and tucked. Now if only she would do something about those horrible roots by ditching the phony British accent and, um, touching up her dye job.
