Sinead is not happy to see us. That is the look of a woman whose next move is to put out her cigarette in the face of the individual taking this picture. And, I'm hoping that these guys are working like the velociraptors in "Jurassic Park," with another one hidden in the bushes, ready to catch that cigarette burn photo-op. See? If you blog long enough, this will be how you start to think.
But photographers' lenses aren't the only thing annoying Sinead these days. She's got a bone to pick with Kylie Minogue, whose music she describes as "unlistenable." The Irish singer said, "I know Australian fans might want to shoot me for saying this, but that would be a far better option than to listen to one of her albums."
Australian fans? Girl, try her fans around the world. Well, she's definitely entitled to her opinion. Kylie's not for everyone.

Even if Skinhead is a moron I have to agree with her. Kylie is not that talented in any way or that beatiful, even if she seem like a cute and nice lady. Her music is kinda crappy, she had one good hit I think.
T-Bone says:
The only two things I think of when someone mentions Sinead is the song Nothing Compares to You and her ripping up a picture of the pope for attention. So I don't know that Sinead should really talk.

Since no one else has mentioned it, I will. What a damned fattie she has become.
Shut Up says:
Yeah, Anon, shame on her for gaining weight! What does she think she is, human??
Cait says:
More importantly, O'Connor's big hit was a COVER. It wasn't even her own material.
Ergo, she's a sanctimonious prat. It's not as if Kylie Minogue's of the Avril School of Musical Doom, right?
locomotion, anyone? says:
Funny that you would mention covers. Didn't Kylie come into the scene by singing one as well?
The only other song I am even familiar with of hers is that annoying pop-py club song that came out like 5 or 10 years ago. So I'm slightly more on Sinead O'Rebellion's side on this one. And only slightly b/c that's about how much I care.
Japanese says:
She's just peed off that her album with traditional covers - she did a horrendous job - flopped.
Then she had another baby - dad turned out to be the producer of said record - a married man with a young baby.
Only .... Sinead needed a fraternity test. Not because he denied it - he didn't. But because she had no clue who the father was. Thank you mommy.
She'd do better to keep her trap shut.
Prick Up Your Ears says:
When did Sinead turn into such a bitter bitch? Why attack another performer? Smacks of sour grapes.
Matty says:
What is up this woman's tw*t? Every time she makes news, it's because she's hating something. Maybe one of those Australian fans should take her up on that offer and put her out of her misery. She seriously needs to lighten up.
Yasuri Yamileth says:
Has Sinead O'Connor ever heard any of her own albums?! Her last decent album was from 1990!! Poor has been

The fraternity test comment is pretty damn funny. They stick a beer bong up her snatch and if there are two lines on the flip cup table she is knocked up. LOL!!! I though Asians were supposed to be smart. You are not representin' yo people! Thanks Japanese for making me feel 10 times smarter today. I needed the boost.

being from the states i love this. nobody knows or cares about kylie minogue here. it amazes me that anyone anywhere does.
JonJ says:
Sinead has a valid point. I bought Kylie's "Fever" based on the single and some gay rags recommendation and have never made it through a single listening without finding myself compelled to turn it off. Yeah, Sinead hasn't maintained the standard she set with "The Lion and the Cobra" and "I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got," but she has released some really great songs since. If you have any question about it, check out her "Collaborations" album and you will be suitably impressed.
In Kylie's defense, Sinead is probably a little envious of her success and loyal following.

Sinead O'Connor is one of the greats and has more talent in her earlobe than Kylie or any of the other vacuous performers these days. Too bad most of you can only dwell on appearances which makes you as superficial and vacuous as they are.
I'm sure you can't wait for the next American Idol to be crowned.

musicdivaSF says:
OMG Sinead's still alive. I thought she withered away by now. Is she even relevant to today's music?? I mean her only claim to fame is her remake of Prince's song. What a pathetic has been she turned out to be.
Andy says:
I have to admit, a lot of kylies older stuff is a little repetitive, but her latest album made me a big fan again, its really hot, especially the bonus tracks. Im assuming that most of the people saying that kylie sucks are from the US. i live in the U.S too and this is the only country where she is not a pop icon. Its a shame because she is actually a person in the pop music industry that fans can actually respect, which is definitely something missing here in the U.S (aka Britney spears)
Persistent Cat says:
Kylie's not big in North America. She has one tolerable song (tolerable if you've been sipping Bacardi in da club and wanna get your dance on) but really, she's just fascinating to look at because she's so overly botoxed.
Jen#1 says:
Hey Ali did you even read the story or did you just read the comments? Sinead was the arrogant ass slamming Kylie, not the other way around. People aren't defending Kylie because they love her music. They're defending her against Sinead's unprovoked, judgemental rant. She doesn't sound like one of the greats to me. She sounds like a bitter wench! So get lost.
Jim Treacher says:

So sad. I used to love her. Look at that "ruddy" complexion she has now--I'm guessing alcohol. Explains the weight gain, the bitterness, the hardened skin, and the slumped over pose of resignation. It's too bad that Sinead fought so hard against what came natural to her: beautiful looks, angelic voice, and a country of people eager to have a female singing star to look up to. She is the walking embodiment of cutting off your nose to spite your face. Wonder what happened to make her this way.
Kylie's music is nothing like hers. Of course she wouldn't want to listen to it. That's like getting angry that Ozzy Osbourne would rather die than listen to a whole John Denver album or something.
pc says:
Sinead is an old lady now and crazy too. But that CD she put out in early 2000-ish with the song No Man's Woman was a great listen. still, she is nuts.

Who honestly values what that old, washed-up wanker has to say? She was never, nor will she ever, be relevant.
Annie says:
Sinead O'Conner was on Oprah and talked about being maniac depressive or having horrific depression -- I forget which. Anyway, it was VERY sad.. She just seems like such a sad, tormented individual.
but who cares if she said that? She has a right to her opinion and if people disagree with it, they disagree.
I love Kylie --- I don't really know why I love her b/c I agree - her music sucks, but I still like her. She was very brave with her cancer fight --- I love women who will go bald when going through chemo, it takes courage. Men might not understand that fact but I think most women would agree.
Like I said I love Kylie but Sinead has every right to say and think what she feels. Why are people hating on her because she expresses her opinion? Are you not writing your opinion on here, too?
GcGirl says:
all the dissin...meh, unjustified. Could care less for either one of em actually. Back in the day, sinhead was much better..little strange, but good.

Jackson Wallace says:
I know you mother English care about us Yanks deeply, so let me give you an American view on this topic. I'm prob about even with Sinead in age, and
when she came out, I and everyone I knew was FLOORED by her voice, and the originality of her material. Now her career didnt last all that long, but it was
entirely legitimate, critically and commercially.
Kylie Minogue, at the FAR other end, is one of these characters that has scammed her way through the music biz, and it must have been through sexually-originated
connections, like Mariah Carey, who, as much as I hate, would put above KM.
KM works in those parts of the world where disposable video pop is sold in clubs and airports. It's forgettable Europop. What astonishes me and looks freakish to an American is to hear someone at 40 singing in the voice of a fifteen year old.
In America we don't tolerate that, the singer is fired and replaced with a cutie, because face it, anyone can produce these songs. I will say the videos are very modern and professional, so how is this happening? I'm baffled, really.
However, at this point, its very embarassing. Sheryl Crow gets away with a lot because she plays a guitar, and sings a song. Kylie is doing dancemusic videos..competing with the likes of Aguilera and Britney, who are
all under 30, and approaching or at washed-up status. And Aguilera can really sing. Britney can not, and is obviously a trainwreck.
Somehow, KM has some deal with someone to let her crap onto the airwaves, and I am flabbergasted at her ability to get work placed, for instance, on late night TV on CBS tonight Apr 2, 2008. KM is at the absolute bottom of any female singer you put her up against, because she really can't sing or write music, and has not taken on a style fitting her age.
fre says:
jackson wallace said it all. it was a well thought acurate description..good job enough said. all these other comments are dribble by morons. kylie can never get away with this crap in the U.S.
California says:
Thanks Jackson Wallace, you said it all. Can't sing, can't write, and forever21 state of mind... Kylie Minogue sucks and it's a shame that children and teenagers look up to her!!
