Katie Holmes is far from wearing a smile on her face in this picture for a photo shoot for "In Style" magazine, despite the fact that she appears to be wearing an outfit inspired by the iconic French clown, Pierrot. She's just not that kind of clown, folks. The 29-year-old Hollywood actress and wife of mega-movie-star, Tom Cruise, takes her high-profile status very seriously and is rarely seen in an outfit that looks like it cost less than the down payment on my car.

I always laugh when this girl is tagged with "Hollywood Actress" or anything of the sort. She has not been in anything award-worthy( 'First Daughter' anyone?). It's unfortunate for her that the members of the academy are well over the age of 12

I agree that she is not famous for much on her own. And, I think that the life she and Tom Cruise leads is wacko and scary at best. That said, she looks great in this photo. She's turned into a stylish characture. But--and I feel this way about anyone who is famous--virtually anybody can look beautiful/handsome and stylish with enough money. Look at stars "before they were famous". They look like you and I -- no style, no taste, nothing special. However, I don't think I'd sell my soul to Xenu for expensive clothes.

There are plenty of people who are not stars who have good taste or style. My point was that once someone has the funds to act on it, they stand out, like we all would in the same situation.

Katie needs family intervention before she completely forgets who she is. She's becoming a characture of herself with all this bone-picker skinnyness and "i've been poisoned" looks. She needs to remember she's not an ancient wise one, but a vibrant , young woman. So sad to see her wasting away like this
