'American Idol' Kicked Off The Male Stripper

I saw this coming. I just started watching American Idol and I can already read America (and the producers) like a book. Hell, I can read them like my well-worn TV Guide! David Hernandez, the controversial male stripper who was apparently flogging his penis for ones from gay guys in Phoenix, was voted off last night. It came down to him, boring but cute Syesha, and that Marcia Brady-looking one with the country act.

I thought Marcia Brady was going to get kicked because that "Eight Days A Week" at the Grand Ole' Opry shit almost caused Lennon to crawl his way out of his grave to attack her ass. So I'm new to this Idol gig, do you think the producers routinely manipulate the results? They must right? Unless Marcia Brady has her own state we don't know about. Because that chick was toe-up and should have gone.

Or it could have been the American public. The gays aren't exactly loved everywhere, and no one wants to think about a man giving another man a lap dance when they're listening to their Top 40. Except for me. It's the only way to get through anything by Daughtry.

It's more of a 'who's the cutest' contest than an actual talent contest. My son Tivo'd it (it is pretty much geared toward his age-group-preteen) so I watched it last night since you're re-capping it. I totally agree, the country girl should have been axed, but I have to say that the guy that was voted off wasn't all that good either. Chikezie and the guy with the Japanese-animation hair were decent and so was the Irish gal.

at this stage, sometimes it's more about looks than talent. that country mouse sang better last night than she did the night before -- when she was being judged. nerves. stripperboy has been hot from the beginning, but this week... not so much. it's like he was combatting the rumormill with every vocal style he could think of it. and it was a steaming pile of... well, shit. he tanked this week. badly. that hawaiian senorita needs to be in the bottom 3 next week for sure....she's not ready for the bigs. country mouse, hawaiian senorita and the gangalocks dude will be bottom 3 next week. thanks for the recaps -- enjoyable.

ganjalocks? gangalocks sounds like a large number of unruly locks strutting down the middle of the street with chains and switchblades and snapping their fingers and whatnot.

my bad.

He just really wasn't that good. For the first few weeks, it's just a matter of getting rid of the clear losers. Marcia will go soon, as will the boring girl who's name I can't even remember. After that it becomes more of a real contest among the people who could actually make it to the top 5.

One was definitely as bad as the other, just in different ways. Hernandez's schmoozy, karaoke act was just as bad as the blonde's dumb, squealing country gig. My feeling is that it will come down to these 6 --David Archeletta, the Irish gal, Brooke, the rocker guy with the low voice (david?), Chikezie and I'm so hoping that darling little Ramiele. She really does have a beautiful voice. She just has to learn how to use it.

It's the Vote for the Worst website that manipulates the voting.

Paresou-I've heard that as well. Do you suppose that would work for a general election??? (hehe)

This guys is crazy and a joke. He is only this controversal so people will remember him for about 5 minutes. As for his comment about Daughtry he could only wish to have one tenth of Daughtry's talent.

oh, I wanna Daynce with somebody...I could barely watch him perform....ever. Sometimes if I looked around my living room at the pretty things there,
I could handle his voice, but this week, he was channeling Cher's vocoder and was so all over the place that he just made me hate him as a performer.

Hopefully, the people who vote, (and I am not one of them) can keep the people who actually have a little bit of originality and truthfulness to their performances and singing. (That should eliminate quite a few of them right there!)

Thanks for your recaps, as always.

At first I was rooting for Kristy because she had to sell her horse to get to the AI auditions, but after she turned "Eight Days a Week" into a sketch from "Hee Haw" I want her to go down. I'm really bummed I have to see her perform next week. And the guy with the dreds has a nice voice, but he looks ridiculous.
