Michelle Williams and Naomi Watts have opened up about their feelings about their late ex, Heath Ledger, talking in length with Interview magazine about the actor's life, death and acting career. According to Michelle, the most striking characteristic about Heath was his "underlying sensitivity" that wasn't necessarily always so apparent. She said, "You can pick it up on it in his performances, but it's easy to overlook because he was so physical and beautiful and strong and masculine."
Additionally, Naomi talked about Heath, saying that she believed he was conflicted about the attention he was receiving as an actor--both in his personal and professional lives. "He hated not being able to go about his life in an ordinary way. But I think that, deep down, he enjoyed that he was being recognized for his talent."
And his talent is apparent here in this YouTube video, comprised of stills and behind-the-scenes video from the set of the Batman sequel, The Dark Knight in which Heath took on the role of The Joker. Prepare to be equally fascinated and creeped-out. Scenes from the upcoming film were recently shown at ShoWest were shown to theater owners and the response was one that indicated that Heath will probably be receiving lots of posthumous recognition for his performance.

I saw the trailer of Dark Knight before HL's death and had no idea of who was playing the joker. He was vaguely familiar but I was mesmerized by the clips of his performance. His death was so sad but it's understandable how immersing oneself in that role could take a toll.

Cool clips. It's a crying shame he won't be able to enjoy the fruits of his success in this role. I imagine that's the best part of that business: seeing everyone enjoy all the work you put into a role. At least that's the best part for real actors and actresses. For Lindsay, Paris & Co. I imagine the best part is getting coked up in clubs every night in exchange for a shot of your snatch to the paps every now and then.
