The Hills star, Lauren Conrad, is expressing her frustration with the common perception of her as a fashion designer. She told the Wall Street Journal, "I'm sure a lot of people don't take me seriously." Most specifically, she's referring to her clothing line.
"I spend the most amount of time on the line, and it's the thing that makes me the least amount of money." Lauren seems as if she means well. But if she were to be saying all of this after having had attended fashion design school and an apprenticeship rather than after a few seasons of a reality show, and a cushy internship during which she was offered the opportunity to go to Paris, which she actually turned down for a boyfriend that didn't even last, then maybe we'd be more sympathetic.
